I don't remember seeing, what problems on the street did the AP racing calipers have?

I hope I'm able to see this car one day now that you've moved down to FL, maybe at a track day or autox? One of my favorite FD's and a great inspiration to make mine better over the coming year/s.

I've actually put a lot of miles on the car...... either early morning or late day/evening driving. Last sunday I went up to Sarasota to help my buddy Tom 'theorie' Frascone drop in his engine--- one i built for him years ago with plates out of my old VR R1 actually. Definitely some sweat in the car but it's actually handled the high temps here without skipping a beat. I love my Evans NPG+

Thanks Tim! Years ago I would've thought this was 'copping out' or 'not going the whole hog' but it makes sense for my street car, especially after sourcing my Unicorn ASM RS-G Recaros for the track car

This car is wayyy to nice. It's just going to be depressing when I actually met you and this beautiful rendition of what I highly admire.
Appreciate it! Definitely looking forward to meeting all the south FL area rotary peeps

It's Old Spice and has a bear on the label, I'll report back soon. I've named the bear 'PocoPowah' in your honor

No problems on the street, aside from the noise. Partially my fault I think as it's possible the pads weren't bedded in properly from Day 1, plus the pads never really heated up in around town driving. Pretty much the setup worked too well for the street. I also had always wanted juicy red calipers and the Brembo BBK presented itself at a killer deal courtesy of a good buddy.

Looking forward to checking your FD out, you've done a lot of great stuff to it for sure.

and the latest addition, test fitting an LRB prototype cooling panel----

Amazing car, what part of Florida are you moving to? Can't wait to see it in person. It's hard to find people that appreciate the factory body lines and keep the FD super clean as you did. Most people do crazy body kits and such.

Gorgeous car!

I hate these clean Black FDs because that is the absolute best color on an FD but I never want to own another Black car.

I like the simplicity of the engine bay and interior as well.

I think I found a double din cubby to replace the stereo (Polaris RZR part# 5451290-070). I saw you have a 1 din cubby and the 1 din lidded cubby, which reminded me of this.

I have been talking to Rich on the forum since I was 17 years old probably. Now approaching double that age, I finally got to meet him in person this past weekend.
To be honest, he is a total pain in the *** and I liked him better through PMs haha! Don't ban me bro! On to his car, Rich came to check out my FD and other sports car while he was in the area, and it ended up turning into me wanting to spend more time checking out the great build he's put together.

Some cars I've seen have had a strong attempt by the owner to do a nice job and show their passion through mods and the build, doesn't work out most of the time. Some put a lot of attention into the functionality and leave out aesthetics, and vise versa. Rich's car has all premium parts, great taste, decades of knowledge and time invested into it. It's top notch and I'm really a stickler for detail, I'm a huge pain in the *** and critical if there's something to be found. The car looked great, drove incredibly, is reliable and really a dream overall. The only complaint is that it is just so well put together and smooth it doesn't have the characteristics of a highly modded car. It has a huge turbo without the lag even! The only thing I'd change about it Rich, is plumbing those wastegates in, my right ear is about 5-10% down still haha! But more importantly when I thought about it, I thought it was a great idea to have 2 wastegates as a failsafe, just another example of the types of things this car has built in. Congrats bud

Everytime I tell Rich it's too loud and to plumb the gates back in he tells me he will lose power. He does pay attention to the aesthetics of his build but he doesn't allow it to go too soft as not to extract all the power he can out of the car. I have shot this car a few times and it always presents well. Lots of nice details.

Surprised he doesn't say "What?"

I found its only loud until you deaf in that range.

I found I was deaf in that range through the course of normal conversation and watching in car videos though, so I guess the above joke is just a joke after all.

Thumbs up

So, a long needed update...... thanks for all the positive comments and support guys, it really means a lot. I finally settled in to Fort Myers area, right near the river and only twenty minutes from Sanibel Island (read: paradise). I make it up to the Sarasota area every so often to visit Felix Frascone, and would love to meet up with Tampa area people

I've been keeping busy with the 'regular' job, and have been helping get south FL area FDs sorted in my free time on nights and weekends with my latest and final venture--- Goodfella's Rotary Garage. It's a long time coming, and I'm excited to be able to offer professional, reasonable and timely performance rotary rebuilds to the community I'm so proud to be a part of

More details on that soon.

As far as the 20B car, it's taken a back seat to work, family, and my enjoyment of the '95 car. I bought it as a running car that needed sorting and it'll get it's own build thread at some point as time permits

Re: the ESH seat covers, please contact Austin and Alex to confirm but I believe they charge $1450 shipped for a pair of RZ/S-R seat covers. Worth every penny, these guys are a rare breed nowadays in their quality of work.

Including some recent pics of the '95 car as well as the garage etc

P.S. Cameo appearance by my old best bud Sarge Beav from our Fort Hood days, one of my oldest and best friends and a real OG rotary dude--he was rocking a 93 VR touring with 150k miles when we met back in 2000. We're getting you back into another one soon bud

Cool

Some more Italiano Eye Candy: I present to you a one-of-a-kind D steering wheel, custom made for me in red suede with red stitching by Nardi S.p.A. in Varese Italy

(thanks to Eric/Farkel for starting my scheming with his black suede piece)

You'll also notice more awesome work by the Edwards boys at ESH, shift/e-brake boots and recovered SakeBomb door handle. These colors are a bit *ahem* loud but they'll suit the 20B car just fine

As many know we've been working with GoodfellaFD3S on a few *top secret* projects.... happily those are finally coming to fruition. I'll let Rich give everyone updates from here on out, but suffice to say we're really excited for a few of these projects

Custom Öh...... you know
