I don't know if we talked or not but I'll certainly be at DGRR 2013. The car will look completely different in a week or two.
Aron, Yes, I checked the manual, but my 94 repair manual doesn't have an assignment for the third sensor. It has assigment for the two wire sensor in the back (coolant temperature sensor) and the low coolant level senorin the front, but it does not list an assignment for the third sensor, which is another one-wire sensor in the front identified only in the cooling sytem section of the repair manal as the "water thermosensor".

Got some more goodies in the mail, sorry for the lower resolution on some. My painter sent them via txt so they're lower res.
Got my new CCW wheels in, they're a hybrid street/race setup. They're incredibly hard to get a decent picture of because they're polished so vividly. Definitely had buyer's remorse until I saw them out of the package, now I couldn't imagine a different wheel setup!
Needed more ignition power than the Twin Power with R6725-105 plugs. I kept trying different coils and tuning but it just wasn't holding up to the increased load. Decided to go a different route and setup four AEM smartcoils in direct-fire orientation via C. Ludwig's advice and help. Should solve my problems!
Paint job is making huge progress as well, should see some shiny stuff next week! I'm stoked!

Wow - great story to date, can't wait to see her with the new paint. While not working on his ride, Aaron has graciously been donating his time and expertise at my place as I attempt an oddly similar resuscitation of a 93 touring...

Ok so I found out my motor had low compression at the VIR event and went on the path to changing the build again. I have been debating on which way to go but I decided that I will go with a slightly larger turbo and try to hit the elusive 500rwhp+ mark. So I sent my spare motor out with John (allrotor93) to have it rebuilt at Steve Osley's place. They got the motor streetported with ALS seals.
So I pulled the current motor out and have started the process to painting the engine bay to match the exterior a little better. In the mean time I'm selling my turbo kit and I am going to have a new one fabricated. The turbo is in great shape but I want to go with a larger frame turbo to make the 500rwhp+ shot a little more feasible.
While the motor was out being rebuilt I went ahead and swapped my interior from tan to black. It was quite a process since a lot of the plastics had broken tabs and scratched paint. I repaired all of the plastics and gave them a fresh coat of plastidip. So far so good!
I'll post some pictures up shortly.
As for the previous thumbnails, they should have been click to enlarge. A quick workaround is to remove the "th_" on the picture if you right click and open in new tab. Maybe a moderator can clean it up.
