FD3S - Driftproject - Denmark

Hi, everybody!

In August 2010 i bought this FD on auction in Japan, the condition is very good (3.5)
im very happy and satified about it, and love the way it handle.. onfortuanatly ive only driftet it one time on a track, then problems started to come with my vaccum system, so while i were in a drift the boost droped and the car got from oversteering to understeering, right into some water barriers! therefore i decided to take a year out of the calender and build it into a propper driftcar.

i will post pictures from the start and as it is know!

here's a small vid of the car at the auction house in japan

simply just cutting a hole in the nice and smooth aluminium bonnet.
will finish it tommorrow.. not the nicest solution but it works, thats for sure :wack::wack:

the fd driven to my mate thomas's garage where we will build it...
the tezza you see on the pic is my old witch i crashed last year :smash:

modified my knucles last night pretty easy job to do, can highly be recommended.. we fittet som aftermarket knucles on my friends JZX100 and it does the same job exept i got more lock!

here we go step by step in case of anybody else wants to do it:

first you cut it where it did (30mm from) then cut 20mm of the part you cutted of

then grind the edges ind 45 degrees so you get a V welding, make sure to have 3mm space between for a good and strong weld!

compared to the stock one

finished product

Small update, a friend of mine got a fiberglass company, so he made super lightweight hood, frontfenders, doors and trunk for me.. I havent got the trunk, and doors yet but heres some pics.

Hood weights 5,2 kilos and the fender weights 1,6 kilo

Denmark huh? How much did you have to pay in taxes to import that car? I hear it's crazy. I thought everyone rode bicycles there

I haven't been to Denmark in a few years but I think I still have a dkbn profile lol
