That's weird how they broke apart like that - looks almost like they somehow got too brittle and shattered. Never seen an polyurethane mount fail like that.
I know very weird!

Yes, both sides are like that. I have the heat shield on the turbo side and it didn’t matter… they failed the same.
Also I made sure they weren’t too tight.

Could be…. Richard said his fell apart too.
I pm’ed IR on Sunday for a response.
This was all up in the subframe 😡
Hey Steve, those orange jack stands look like the safety recalled Harbor Freight ones - if they are, they'll give you a full refund or replace them with the non-recalled ones.
IRP responded to my PM last week and told me to contact the shop to discuss my options.
I wanna say thank you and I appreciate their response but I have decided to just move on and try some different motor mounts.
Also the next Aces Rotary Meet is Oct 9th
If you’re local to Orlando then it’s always a great time 👍

This thread is a good example - use the right parts, do it right, and you have an awesome car that you can drive every day and enjoy and not worry about it.

Yeah, I have been lazy about adding cruise switch back on my own wheel, I have done so many of them over the years and never one for myself lol. It was ok without them for awhile, since it is not needed for my commute to work. With me switching mainly WFH now I rarely get to drive the FD, so I have been taking it out for some late night cruise with my wife, and I'm starting to miss the cruise in those long stretched empty highway haha.
^Thank you Sir!
Yeah i really like the contrast of the wheels against the silver 👍
Not sure what the deal was with the mounts either… maybe they are just a wear item… who knows.
This time I’m trying out the Banzai Racing street motor mounts and no issues.
Pleased with them so far…. we’ll see how long they last.
Subtle shadow patterns really capture surface areas on the car;
Such as the slightly bulged curve from the top of the wheel well running into the combination light and around the bull nose creating a sense of an overhang under the combo-light.
Colorization of the panel behind the brake duct vent gives a sense of speed and the light is catching the slight sow-belly forms on the lower edge.
Rarely, the light also emphasizes the rotary symbol in the lower front air intake.
Angle of shot clearly shows the roof depression feature.
Yeah bro, I have a fear of door dings. 😬
I’m sure I’m not the only one.
I hear you man, I do the same haha. I mostly drive it to work and park in the garage at a single spot, but if that spot is not available I’ll park at the end of the lot where no ones around 🤣
We have had an acorn boom this year, perhaps because of the heat wave this summer. On a windy day, a few weeks ago, I got caught in an acorn shower.
They sounded like stones hailing down.
Looked into the insurance and learned that the insurance company would apply the deductible ($300) to each ding.
Had the body shop look it over, and no acorn induced dings were found. Yeah!
About 5 years ago I had a ding specialist spend 8 hours on the car removing 20 years of life in narrower places (Japan).
He did a wonderful job.
Only picked up two cherry pit size dings since then, But this summer with the heat, I think some of the prior dings rebirthed themselves on the surface
