Nice Vmount install and congrats on keeping the battery under the hood!
Is that battery a 51R on a turbojeff tray?
I guess I might consider a Rotary Works V Mount kit now...

Without moving the battery, I always thought a M2 Medium was the best cooling a FD could do before a [$$$ custom V mount or lithium cell $$$] were required.
Thanks for the photos!

Nice. Really liking the work on this car. It looks really clean. When you put back the efini RX-7 emblems how did you get the spacing right, just use painter's tape and eyeball it?

Can't argue with the results coming from the vents!
Dale
Correct, I used these(see below) welded them on to the RX-8 low pressure condenser fitting and the RX-7 low pressure compressor fitting.
I found the weld on fittings on-line through a A/C vender.
Then measured the length of hose i would need and had a A/C shop crimp the hose for me.
Sorry for the delay of info I originally had the lines made last year for the VR FD.

No problem, glad it helps you out...yes 51R battery with the TurboJeff tray
Yes, that was my main goal to keep my battery in the engine bay so I modded the Rotary Works mounts for the V-mount and it worked well.

Yes, blue painters tape on my friends car as a templet to mark and place the new RX-7 badge.

Angry Sticky interior trim

Small update i'm redoing the interior plastics.
The rubber coating is breaking down on the shifter trim and it was getting annoying.
My arm would stick to it, i'm sure lots of the 93 guys know this feeling....lol

Also going to upgrade my head unit while everything is apart... not liking the Jensen unit I currently have.

FD#3... I finally got my favorite color/trim! 1993 SSM Base-urdfpnz.jpg

From searching on here and seeing reviews I went with SEM paint.
Once the rubber coating is removed, I used their primer and paint and so far its looking great... happy with the results.

Radio trim with 2 coats.... shifter just sanded.

Thumbs up Painting interior trims....

Interior trims repainted and put back together.
Happy to say none of the plactics broke or cracked while removing and reinstalling them...YES!

This SEM paint looks really good..... not bad for a garage, spray can, paint job. no its not perfect but dam good!.
Very happy with the results....I highly recommend it if your going to be redoing your 93 plastics.

BOOM!
Installed back in the dash with the new Drake gauge cluster and Haltech IC-7 dash.
This this is awesome... All the data at my finger tips.

And finally I'm extremely happy with the Pioneer head unit, much better than the Jensen it replaced.
I don"t need a CD player, I mostly bluetooth or stream my music.

Wired up and tested before final install.

Nice work brother. I did the same with my plastics years ago. You are right it is well worth it. You just have to have patients and some luck removing them. Looks awesome man. Brap pn

Hot DAYUM those plastics look good. How are they to the touch? I know some spraypaints can have kind of an unpleasant tactile feel.

Thanks for sharing the info. on the a/c lines.

The Drake dash face looks great with the display. Does it fit good, no squeaking or rattling?

Hey man long time, glad you're still around!
The RX-8 condenser is a great mod and the A/C works awesome.
I got the idea from seeing pics of David's setup in his 3rotor.

The Drakes gauge cluster is so very close to OEM and its alot more robust too.
There is no squeaks or rattles.. I'm extremely happy with his cluster.

Thumbs up Been enjoying the **** outta her!

Quick update
She's running great!
Holding boost at 12-14psi on wastegate spring and 4 turns of pretension on the actuator rod.

Went to the local Cars & Coffee here in Melbourne with my friend Tito.

Still happy with results of the r134 and RX-8 condenser conversion.
Makes driving her around in this HOT Florida weather way more enjoyable....even the wife was happy riding in it.
A/C is still coming out the vent cold, ranges around 40-50 degrees. This pic was taken on a 90+ degree day.
