The fronts are 18x8.5 with a 45 offset. I'll have to check the rear width and offset.

The rears are 18x9.5, with a 45 offset and a 5mm spacer.

Picked up a new set of headlights. Got them super cheap. They're supposedly re Amemiya headlights, came in an re Amemiya box and have stickers claiming such, however, I'm not 100% sold. Regardless, can't complain because of the low *** price. And they're brand new.

No to be an ***, but you should google what these look like on an FD... then decide if you want them. In my personal opinion they look awful, but its your car!

And from what I know, RE never made headlights like these. Only flush mounts.

lol. I've seen this style of head light before and I like them. They aren't my absolute favorite, but I do like them.

Also, I've tried googling these quite a bit and haven't had much luck. They are similar to East Bear lights, but they aren't that brand.

And like I said, I'm not sold on them being re Amemiya either, but I figured for the price I would go ahead and pick them up. If I decide I don't like them between now and when I finally have my car going, then I will just sell them off.

Man, seems the headlights are universally hated. Lol. We'll see once I have the car back together.

If I feel that it really takes away from the cars appearance then they won't be used.

I used to dig deep the C-west headlight , i actually wanted to install hella 90mm in them.

As I was getting older , I start changing taste & enjoy pop-up headlights more and more.

And now I will put nothing else than OEM,

(Light output I go hid)

Got some work done today.

I made brackets to mount the fuse box under the left side fender....

Admittedly, my welding skills are lacking. So the longer bracket needs to be cleaned up quite a bit, mainly the weld needs to be ground down where it balled up on me. That will be done the next time I make it out to the garage.

Also modified the stock bracket for the 4 pack of relays to make it work for the right side. I had to make a metal bracket for one side and just a spacer for the other.

All the brackets will eventually be cleaned up with a grinder, have sharp corners rounded, and be painted. They'll all be mounted with new hardware as well, right now I have random bolts/nuts holding the left side together. But I have the new hardware already, just didn't replace them tonight.

Both boxes are in the clear, they do not interfere with the fenders or liners in anyway. So they're good to go as far as placement.

The next time I make it out to the garage I will be making something for the front fuse box.

Scored a new steering wheel. This thing is basically brand new, out of an RX-8. It will be a big improvement over the Momo Corsa that came in the car, IMO.

Sorry for the late response....

Long story short, this build had to come to an end. I move back to the states in 2018, and the car will not be able to come home with me. My brother was trying to get stationed here in Germany, so the plan was to leave the car with him until 2020 when it would be able to come home. However, he decided against coming to Germany.

I could not convince myself to continue pouring time and money into a car that I knew I would have to sell leaving Germany, especially considering RX-7s are not selling for the same amount as they are in the US. I would be taking a massive hit, or having to part it out as soon as it was completed.

I've been on the prowl for a replacement vehicle for the RX-7 though, we'll see what pops up.

So I mentioned a few months back that I would be seeing what popped up in my area for a replacement for the RX-7. Truth is, I was already tracking a car and I was waiting for the seller to come back from a deployment so we could complete paperwork and payment.

Here's my new baby..... 92 GT-R, 120k KM, mostly stock other than exhaust, coilovers, EBC, turbotime, and boost gauge. I'll be heading back to the states in May next year, finally, so no major work will be done until I return. In the meantime it's all maintenance to get the car back to a solid baseline. So it's getting all the fluids, water pump, timing belt, a couple tie rods and ball joints, brakes, etc.

I enjoyed building the thread for you folks, I hope it helps out at least one person. If it does, then I'll consider it a success! And maybe there will be another FD in my future...
