As for the FD, I had a little time this last few weeks to turn wrenches and the car is just about 1 hour from starting up for the first time.

The new ACT 6 puck clutch and ACT flywheel were installed.

New Koyo N-FLo installed

All new Gaskets, Hoses and OMP lines, AST Delete and FC Thermoswitch installed from Malloy Mazda.

Mikuni OMP.

Banzai Pulleys and Trans Cross-Member

B&M Short Shifter installed

Installed new Toyota Supra fuel pump and was pleased to see the tank look great with no rust or debris.

The stock twins are currently installed for break in and just to get the car started and to figure out all the other things I will need to address since the car has sat so long.

I'd had hoped to do write ups and share tips that I have learned on these cars over the years to make these installs easier but I apologize for just not having the time. Ill try to give more updates as time allows.

Surprised to see an old coot such as yourself running the 6 puck

What are your power goals? I figured the flatbed queen Poopra was going to be your drag strip setup car

A sprung 6 pack is actually not bad at all on the street. Way less chatter than the Twin Discs I have driven on FDs and similar engagement. This car should see a good bit of drag strip action as its local and doesnt take much time so I wanted something I could swap out cheap and quick.

As of last Wednesday the car is up and running! Fired right without issue but unable to drive it at this time due to the wheels/tires that are on the car. Ive been trying to find a good deal on a temporary set of wheels and tires but nothing has popped up.

I need to install the AP Big brake kit on the front along with new rotors/pads on the rears and bleed the brakes which I am hoping gets accomplished this week. Hopefully will get some miles put on the car within the next couple weeks.

Well, the supra is "finished" and ready to pick up. Made 450/430 at the wheels on stock ecu at 15lbs. The aftermarket ecu that was included with the car was no good so this is the temporary numbers. Hope to finish it up in the spring with new ecu/fuel and 10 more lbs of boost.

Been a decent bit of progress on the Fd and will hopefully update with pics later this week.

300ftlbs by 3300 rpms which is probably a first ever for a single turbo supra. I think the car should pick up another 100rwhp with another 10lbs of boost and the small 5862 turbo.

One pic for a quick update. Installed Sake Bomb ign kit, new clutch and brake master cylinders, fabricated a mounting bracket for brake proportioning valve, battery relocated and Cool Charge III installed along with new K&N filters. Not seen in pics of the Momo steering wheel, JDM armrest thanks to Goodfella and the upgraded rx8 starter.

Have put 5-10 miles on the car and it rides much better than expected though rear diff bushings need replaced. Car is idling perfect at 900 rpms and pulling 18 inches of vacuum.

Next I need to address the suspension and get the car to a paint shop.

The Sakebomb kit is really nice, any particular reason you went with this over HKS twin power?

What suspension you thinking and who's painting the car?

The cost of the Sake Bomb ignition kit is really only a couple hundred dollars more than good factory used coils, twin power and new plug wires. I also like how it cleans up beneath the UIM plus it offers much more versatility down the line.

For suspension I would prefer to find a good set of Greddy Type S coilovers but will settle for other brands. I dont want to go too stiff on spring settings so the car doesnt jar my teeth out when driving it around town.

As for paint, I am undecided at this time. The car needs a decent bit of body work and a couple surface rust areas repaired. I constantly wrestle with how much I want to spend on paint and body. While I want it to look good, I dont want to invest so much it deters me from driving and beating on the car regularly.

Thanks for the kind words on the ignition kit. It also offers 103mj spark per coil! Basically you get faster charging and MUCH higher spark intensity than factory coils with a twin power... And they're tunable later. We sell so many of these that the used market for twin powers is ripe for the picking they're damn cheap to get used now for a reason

For suspension shoot me an email info@sakebombgarage.com I'll get you a very good price on Teins, but I'd rather get you an even better price on a set of Ohlins and have a display unit here I can sell you for a big discount. Bang for buck the Ohlins win hands down versus nearly everything else out there until you get into $5k race only suspension.

Only 15 months since the last update and I finally dropped it off for paint today. 2-3 more months and it should be worth looking at and posting some more info. I've purchased 2-3 more FDs in that time frame along with a couple other cars. I lost motivation for this project but am starting to find a little again now. I didnt abandon it though so there is that at least.

I usually put them back on the road and resale them. I do not part out FDs, just couldnt stomach it. I do always have performance and engine bay parts laying around if you are looking for those.
