School had started and i was not making the money i made while in the Navy. So the build came to a hault and I bought a Miata. I moved back to SC after a few years leaving the car in Texas.

The last i worked on the car i swapped the cx racing gt35 turbo for another turbonetics t62-1. I boosted 13 pounds on the cx racing fine... It didnt feel like the t62 nor sound as heavenly. But the wastegate worked well for the 5 miles i out on it. I decided to just focus on my income and have joined the navy again...

I have been going thru a lot of planning also so that when i gwt back to this build, i dont cut any corners. While attending St. Philips College I earned my degree in automotive technology, I honestly found out back then "in 2012" that i in fact had a lot to learn.

Whats the current plan? :
-Return to origional fan units used in the FD's SE'S
-get fresh injectors
-the t62 is oil cooled only and i have to find a way to route the turbo coolant lines back to the water pump with no kinks. *any tips?
-everything from manifold to turbo to wastegate will be port matched.
-i also want the xs power lim *this can wait
-a bunch of other fail safe goodies
-wide band o2 and gauge

Other new purchases:
-Bought the rest of the exhaust *cheap stuff until we ballin again lol
-VMS fuel pressure regulator *will try it out
-Glow-shift Boost gauge installed*fun *donated it to my friend Chris and his mustang build
-all injectors need serviced. * I have bought a lot lol
*550's 850's 1300's
-Fuhita Engineering "feed" 850cc primary fuel rail *yup
-cant really think of anything else.
-Mandrel Bending solutions CF "looking" coupling hosing to ic.
-newer greddy style bov. I havent heard it yet tho, may have to tweek it or swap it with the one purchased previously.

For now ill post some pics of the progress that i have on my phone. Im in San Diego right now for A-school and when i return to SC ill dig up the rest of what i have. The miata has been digging in my pockets big time since 2012. She has also taught me a lot...

Did it all work? Yes it did but i dont have enough drive time to boast about it.

Beauty

When I began the build back in 2012 I had been laid off from the Navy. Now 9 years later I finish woth school back in the Navy and 1600 miles away from the car. I'm hoping to buy a house next year and go pick the car up from Texas. A few goodies have been added to the build tho after the origional post I dont know if anyone has seen the update that I posted last year. Wish me luck. I hope to load this thing up with a lot of great news soon!

[Edit]
Oh yeah so as far as the ebay parts, the manifold I believe is leaking air from the t4 flange, I've read that cheap manifolds need a good belt sanding. It may not be leaking it may just be the rich gas coming from the wastegate. The wastegate worked fine but I dont know how long that will be for so i will rebuild it with a ginuine hks diaphramand spring just to be safe. Other than that the only other ebay part is the side mount intercooler (i upgraded the hoses on it btw) Because i replaced the cxracing gt35 with a Turbonetics T62. The gt35 did boost 13psi no problem with the ebay 14pound spring it just didnt punch as hard nor sound as good as my first T62. I have many sets of fuel injectors to choose from, I dont want to use the 1600cc injectors although ive saldered the resistors already. I have a couple sets of oem 550cc and 850cc and a set of bored 850cc im going to send them all to get cleaned and flow tested and choose from there. I also have a fujita engineering (feed) 850cc primary fuel rail (thing was expensive). And a VMS racing fuel pressure regulator kit very affordable and I've heard good things about their sard type kit ($60). I gave my boost gauge away to a friend that boosted a mustang because it was just sitting. I left my wires there so I only need to purchase another and plug it in. Oh! I almost forgot the ebay exhaust kit ($250) i expect to modify the muffler to a blitz nur and a fat resonator to the mid pipe but no rush its fine like it is for now. The plan was to do this as cheap as possible. The best part about it all tho is all of the ebay stuff that I bought can be improved or replaced at my convenience but ultimately work as is. Please stay tuned
