DIY dirt floor FD ressurection
And now we're up to date! Drove it to work every day this week so far and hit 360 miles on it today. This weekend I should be able to get a longer drive in and maybe double that number. I'll keep the crew posted on how this breakin goes, can't wait to tune it for boost as soon as I get 1000 - 1500 mi on it.
Once engine is broken in, priorities are:
Fix tach, other issues with the cluster. Gauges are not my style (weird blue lighting and wrinkly aftermarket faces). Probably some revlimiter sexy gauges to fix that.
Fix oil leak at the pan. This is gonna be a subframe drop, which isn't fun, but assuming this break in goes smooth I can't complain if this is my worst issue. Likely go with the banzai brace and studs when I do that.
Figure out these leaky oil lines. Might try and source some lines and try that. If anyone has any tips here I'm open. FYI they are put together with brand new clips + o rings and I cleaned up the metal where they mate/seal.
I've got LRB undertray to go on (already sitting in the shop), OEM front lip, non cracked sidemarkers. Fender liners need to go back in. Some interior rattles I'd love to track down and silence, etc.
Add A/C. It's gonna be a hot one this year and I'm eyeing the jp3 kit for rx7 stuff. All the stuff that came with my car was crusty and non-usable.
I think that's about it! Comments, questions, concerns all welcome here! Thanks for having me in the group.

Man! Thats a ton of work! What a transformation.
Sounds so good too!
That Evaporust is amazing stuff.
I also went with the JP3 AC kit in my car a few years back, and I definitely would 10/10 recommend it.

This is something you can get through jessestreeter.com (although maybe not the best example).
