Exclamation WOOHOO!!! Finally got FD, went to IOWA!

Hey everyone!!
I finally got my FD after a year and a half of money saving. I had to go to Des Moines, Iowa to find the perfect one, but EVERYTHING was worth it!! This has seriously been my dream to get an FD and I finally GOT IT!! I'm sooooo damn happy .
Here are the pics to document my trip

by the way, just so that I didn't have to put any miles on it, I towed it from Des Moines, Iowa to Diamond Bar, Cali. About 1,600 + miles!! This trip was CRAZY!!!!

started my trip.. this is actually already in Utah

In Colorado now.. going towards the Rocky Mountains
BTW, the Rockies are freakin CRAZY! It's almost so beautiful there, it's kinda scary.

starts to snow pretty hard

out of the Rockies!!! I felt so good coming down.. but it got boring REAL quick as we hit flat *** Nebraska..

only 310 more miles!!

eating only the best in nutrition

Okay, here I am in my minivan pulling into this guy's house. I've never seen him in my life and only talk to him via email and phone for more than a year. I pratically nutted about 3 times pulling up to his house and about 5 more times when I actually saw the car a few feet in front of me.

wooo!!! there she is!!! I seriously could've cried

damn.. the long trip back... now I just want to get home and look at the seven

heading back up the Rockies... it was okay at first..
but then it started getting insane. I was flooring my van up the mountains, redlining actually and my car was going 25 MPH.

can't believe people actually live up here..

have to say.. Arizona and Colorado are prob the best states to drive through. Nevada, Utah, and Nebraska are damn boring.

Nice car and perfect timing...

you can go on the So Cal RX Club Enduro cruise this Saturday. It's over 300 miles with 30-40 other rotary powered vehicles. It's one of the events you don't want to miss in So Cal other than 7stock.

another pic of the interior, cruising the I-15

FINALLY.. FINALLY.. HOME..
It felt good to put her in a garage.
Friends garage with his s2k

This trip was absolutely nuts...
On the way to Iowa, my friend and I drove 30 hours straight so that we can get there ASAP. Driving back actually took about 4 days because we stopped each night at a motel/hotel because we thought it'd be dangerous to drive w/ the seven in the back...

Anyway, I'm sure people would want to know, here are the specs on the car.

-'94 MB FD
-33,000 Original Miles
-Original owner
-Car is completely stock
-Never seen snow, rain.. you can tell by looking for signs of rust and looking at underbody
-Touring package
-$20,000 cold hard cash baby

Glad to hear you made it back safe and have a new favorite belonging. Welcome to FD ownership, hopefully the pics will work at some point in time, as right now I can't see any of them. Josh

If you're gonna spend $20k on a stock FD, THAT is how to do it.

I hope you didnt tow your car like that, The rear wheels were suppose to be up. You might as well have driven the car.

However, very nice FD, lookes similar to mine when i bought it 2 years ago

I talked to a few rotary "experts" and they explained that it wouldn't be bad for the car. Yeah, I know I have to prob change the transmission fluid, but I don't think anything else was hurt at all

WOW what a story....thats exactly the feeling I had the 1st AND 2nd time lol. Great job finding a car like that. I thought I was the only one who appreciated low mile 94s!! it doesnt even need to have mods just so stock and wellkept is awesome. BTW your car is NOT immaculate you are missing a cap on the base or trebble adjustment! HA! they are 6 dollars each from mazda and its probably under the seat somewhere. looks perfect except for that and the underhood shot is kind of scaring me what is all that ****! once again good job. savor this moment and take care of the car and be real careful if you mod it to do it right so you dont get a sour taste

i doubt it hurt anything, u just put excess wear on the differential and tranny.. You should of towed it rear up. .. now your rear end has 1600 miles more mile on it

The tranny was in nuetral ( i hope ) so there was no gears engaged.

but whoever told u to tow it front up... needs to be bitch slapped.
