Dynoliner on the roof.

In the process of relocating my AC controls to the roof! What I'm holding is a modified AC button that I shrunk 50% and it still works! I have a total of 60 hours in this AC project so far.

NIce Corey!
As one who can barely plug a coffee pot in, I'm awed.

Wow, I'm interested to see that AC relocation! That's a slick idea!

I have my boost controller (AVC-R) stuck to the top of the window to the left of the rear view mirror, using the "over your head" space is a great idea.

Corey, are you in Omaha, NE? I see a Nebraska license plate. If so, we as in RX7 owners should have a meet & greet!

Lol! Your car looks great in person for just knowing how to barley plug a coffee pot in!

Thank you! It's taking forever to get this AC project done but it's almost finished! I'm thinking about doing a group buy for a kit that's just plug and play!

I'm glad to finally say that progress has been made with the AC relocation! Here is what the end product will look like basically. What you see is just the face with no actual electronics behind it. I was doing a mock up and I was aiming for looks first and form later. Ignore the paint, I just sprayed it with a quick layer of AutoZone spray paint.

Here is what it looks like in the headliner, again this won't be the paint. I'm actually going to be using a high quality paint that cost over 250 dollars for just 3 pints! I'm going for a 93 finish that is going to be an exact match, scratch resistant and soft touch! The product is going to feel OEM!

Here's one of the custom wiring harnesses I had to make. I'm very happy how neat this turned out.

Here's the second one, so much wiring! I have to route the wires through the dash, up the A pillar and loop it to the roof.

I gave myself about 14 inch. of extra slack, just in case I didn't like the location of the AC bored. Also, I was testing every button on the AC bored to see if everything works before I put the headliner up and everything worked!

Here is what some of the routing looks like through the A pillar. It's so pretty, I even added sound proof foam so I won't hear the wires while driving.

This is where I left off at and I was able to complete all of mile stones. It's smooth sailing from here! The biggest issues were getting the clips to snap perfectly in the headliner like OEM, the housing behind the face to fit and finally shrinking the electronics so they fit and still work.

What a project! You can only imagine how long this takes for something so simple. It will be worth it in the end.

Also note the face isn't pretty anymore because I have it sanded down and ready for paint and the stickers are removed.
