Correct, the whole clearance issue is because of the oil pan, and since I don't have one and the Xcessive motor mounts raise the engine high enough everything clears. Sharing pictures just in case it helps someone else out.
It’s all a kit from Collins, but it’s their “Stage 6” kit. Ceramatallic twin-disc clutch, made to hold 1,100 lbftf of torque. I’m pretty sure ACT makes the clutch for him. Flywheel is steel. The single disc one I have from them was aluminum, but the stack height wouldn’t work with the twin-disc clutch.
and..... bought another set of used wheels from "used.racingparts" on IG. Maybe one day I'll buy new wheels for myself, but I have a restoration addiction. lol
Big brake kit and engine/trans/turbo installed. Off to fabrication for a ton of stuff... intercooler piping, exhaust, swirl pot, catch can, intercooler end tanks, radiator, oil coolers etc...
Just spent the last 45 min. looking through the whole post. Just gave me some inspiration to go work on mine as I've been feeling beat up mine is about to roll on three years. Keep up the perseverance and look forward to seeing it all finished. We have pretty similar builds so I can absolutely empathize and appreciate the time, energy and money that has gone into this! Great job man!
Out in the wild. Dropped her off to the fabricators to get some work done: Front tube, Intercooler piping, Radiator and intercooler end tanks, v-mount shrouding, tabs for headlights and hood pins, oil cooler mounting, turbo manifold, downpipe and mid pipe, 4 point roll bar, swirl pot, oil catch can, etc....
Also received my titanium catback exhuast from CSG in Japan. 5.4lbs
CSG exhaust looks pretty. In for installed pics. You bold to set it on the ground with no blanket! Looks like everything is coming together nice. Keep it going.
I was absent from the forums for a long time. I'm glad to come back and still see this build happening. I love it when people take time with their builds and make no compromises. It is very unlike my car.
Very nice work.
Turbosmart E-WG60 electronic wastegate. I ordered this back in July of 2020 and it's finally here. We shall see if it was worth the wait. No boost lines, no springs, I think it will be.
Dropped the car off last August (2020) to a fabricator who did nothing for 7 months. Finally got the car and money I pre-paid back. I've lost all hope in the car industry, but to far into the build to not finish her.
Reached out to a few other fabricators and everyone's booked until September. Just sitting around and waiting now. Bought a few things to pretend there's progress.
