Ok a little update ! I blew my motor on the way back from the roto rally .. Ironic it happened just cruising on the highway .. seems like a spun bearing as the motor still starts and has 17 inches of vacume . But its making a very nasty noise .

glad they got that fixed , i'm currently saving up for the new motor . I'm going to go with a reman vs rebuild this one . incase it has some internal damage . and that way I can start to build this one slowly get it ported and have a monster motor for next time.

Thanks gringo LOL , Yeahh.. the car is alot of fun when it works .

Deliverance not yet started the tear down today finally had room to work on it

But unfortunately I think My ecu may be fried...

when I put the ignition in no lights or anything came on figured battery was dead , let it charge for about 4 hours then tried the ignition again , car cranks , lights turn on , but none of hte instruments or the Power FC commander turn on ..

I just went to get the battery replaced since it was under warranty and I'm gonna try it tomorrow . But damn I'm starting to believe this FD is cursed... Wangan midnight anyone?

Like you say, the flat black FD is trending but you have to admit - they look like jet fighters when they're done! I love the way a flat black FD looks in person, I've seen a 500whp dyno'd beast of an FD in that color and it looked amazing.

Good luck on the build man, cool to see!

the oil pump was completely Gone forgot ot take pictures of it , and the Eshaft was bad to from where the bearing originally spun

P.S. I never ran this car low on oil .. it had low Oil pressure form the first day I put it in the car. I figured it was a bad oil pressure sensor. but I guess someone did run the car low on oil beforehand , and that messed up the oilpump which in turn caused this ...

catastrophic damage could of been avoided had I rebuilt the engine back then ..

So what did you determine was the cause? Bad oil pump? Clogged pickup?

Bad oil pump 99% chance . I never ran the car low on oil ,and the car wasn't low on oil when it blew in fact I had just filled it up with some oil

Thanks , and no reason not to .. I never found the engine to be lacking in anything .

and it blew not because it was a rotary . But because of combined negligence between the previous owner for running it low on oil , and myself for not rebuilding before it turned into this mess

This is 110% correct, a lot of heads love to blame the rotary. Weather it's a piston or rotary a half *** engine, will fail it's just a matter of time!

^oooh special visit from engine builder.

but like you said . People like to blame everything just because its a rotary but low oil pressure would destroy any engine weather it be V8 or not LOL . specially getting rev'd to 8k and raced every chance it got .

and my goal when all said and done is to take down a V8 or two..
