Not much of an update.. just started prepping some parts. a lot of shaving stock parts to delete the lines that i dont use. I need to get some bits to do some porting to them as well...

JDM LIM. block off plates? we dont need no stinking block off plates! just cut them off lol... what is the rectangular opening by the gasket for? can i just weld it shut? (forgot to take a pic of the backside...) This first started off by cutting the egr?? off to make more room between the LIM and my DP so i can add a heat shield and basically got out of hand as my die grinder didnt stop cutting.............

cut the little slit in the UIM. i know its been done before, but i can only recall phil having this too. definitely looks cooler than i thought..

water pump housing... cut off all the fittings and shaved the piece down. also cut off the mounting point for the air pump (cant remember who i saw this from)

no more pink turbo???

The vmount kit from rotary-works is around 900$ I dont know what your price range is. Also dont know if youve seen garfinkles coil bracket. Puts them on the frame rail under the steering shaft. What aux injection kit are you using? I got mine from coolingmist. Heres the link to my thread in aux section https://www.rx7club.com/auxiliary-injection-173/coolingmist-smart-injection-942588/

yes i know about garfinkles, i had mine like that expect further up for the past year now im moving it back a little and making a bracket from scrap vs hacking up the stock bracket

made the coil bracket, still need to get the weld on bolts then coat it...

began mocking up a vmic... the greddy FMIC looks like it will fit perfect.. i still need to play with the angles and figure out ducting/brackets... i can believe how good a vmount looks in person... what a difference in the engine bay...

got around to making a bracket to relocate the FPR to the LIM.
(no pic)

and got around to making revisions/working on the plush dead piston. just more mock ups before sending the manufacture some final plans.. this one is actually hollow chip board with fabric covering it... i just made it for size/proportion purposes, i needed something visually 3d.

got some argon so did a little aluminum welding.... filled the holes in the water pump housing and LIM. LIM is completely shaved of emissions and welded shut so no block off plates!

FPR bracket i made to mount on LIM. first prototype

final piece next to the bracket it came with (still need to drill holes)

oem dual oil coolers. finally opened my package after like 5 months of having it ahhaa. missing the passenger line and clips... ugh, now i gotta figure out a way around it or order parts... but they definitely arent going to be cheap...

started fabricating my Vmount. welding aluminum with the mig sucked so i opted to make it out of 20 gauge mild steel.. this is just a prototype/monster model. once i get everything buttoned up how i want it i will take my time with the cuts/ plan out the pieces better and mostlikely use 18gauge mild steel. (i love the way the IC/Rad sit together. they pretty much create a perfect seal.

thanks! i got a bootleg one from harbor freight a few months back.. not a huge fan of it. i think i prefer 2 flat heads, a can of green tea(im asian and cant drink) while watching forgetting sarah marshall

not much of an update, just finished fabricating the brackets for the VMIC. PLEASE do me a favor, the next time i say im going to weld something please remind me i suck at welding. thank god im making plates/covers to hide all my hideous welds.

And now to begin pulling the motor! last major jobs
relocate brake lines
weld/shave engine bay
paint engine bay
powder coat/ ceramic coat parts
install motor!
(of course missing the tiny details)
