here are some pics of the fuse/relay panel and where the body harness now runs. Also put a pic of of the engine bay, the only wires in the bay will be running with the engine harness.

haha that hood latch is just there to keep the intercooler and front crossmember supported. Trust me, i cant stand it being that dirty lol. Thanks for the kind words guys, I will eventually put together a small thread to show the rest of the car. I don't want to step in on this thread.

no prob man, i love getting ideas from other members! im assuming u got rid of all the stock fuse boxes and that panel with fuses replaces the hunky boxes?or are they hidden under the panel?

how do you plan on covering it? are you putting the bins back or have something else in mind??

that panel replaces all of the fuse boxes under the hood. I have a lot of stuff deleted on my car so I was able to really simplify it. The battery will be under the other bin and yes they will be going back in, but the storage part of the bins will be removed, so when you open the bin, there's your fuse panel! Also, you cant see it in the pics, but the datalink connector was relocated next to that fuse panel. Right now I am working on mocking up another plate for where the heater box was to mount my msd box, 2 step, map sensor, ign module to.

muibubbles - Since you seemed to be a viewer of my thread I stopped to take a lot... Got to admit wasn't quite a fan of the pink idea, but it looks really good. I can't show my gf though or I'll end up having to make some changes with mine lol....

But to keep up with this thread where its left off..... what about relay's whats everyone doing to move these around... I found this at painless wiringBut its a little on the expensive side... Anyone else have idea's or things they have done with fuse boxes and relay boxes... (maybe a new thread idea?)

hahah thanks... its a love or hate.. a few of my friends gfs seen my car and tried talking them into doing pink too haha.... i like it, its loud, and catches your eye, ive even caught a few people who bashed me take a double look like wtf?! haha

schools killing me so it is pretty much a stand still. i plan on moving all the relays and fuse boxes to the rear bin area. im going to make my own rear bins, molding it from the oem ones. Ive always hated how the bins are SOOOO tiny yet there is so much more room to be had.

painless- never looked into it, but didnt want to go that in depth. essentially all im doing is extending/re routing wires, no need for a new harness. (plus secretly idk what im doing =X)

fues box relocation- there is a thread but scrub way back has some pretty good info but is very outdated

Industrial Design good sir, hoping to make some good use of it... trying to make a replica of the passenger side door handle with some stuff i learned in school... =) well see how that goes, i know SBG already makes one but if i do make it available for public it will be geared to accommodate more underprivileged poor college students lol

update... god this is a PITA to do... i thought it was pretty easy yesterday as i was moving all the front accessories such as headlights, turn signals etc.. but today i was running the wire/ untangling them holy cow. im gonna have to cut majority of them to un-knot this mess!

dont be fooled by my poor photoskills, i have no clue what im doing.

PS million dollar question. what the heck does this go to? (since i moved the harness i dont know where its proper location is thus might not go in the spot)

Wire colors are brown, white/Blue, Light green/red, and Green/orange.
ive looked through the wiring diagrams over 5 times, page by page and STILL cant find it...

i think the connect looks something like this..

B |w/b| |L/R|G/O

What harness is the connector coming from, dash harness or that big body harness that wrapped around the front of the car? Also, the oil drain valve is pretty sweet. It makes for a nice and easy oil change but they have a a tendency to drain a little slow.

wiring is becoming a PITA. so i decided to sort things out, clean it up a bit to understand everything better...

today made some brackets to relocated the fuse boxes, once i get all of them mounted it will be easier to visually see how to run the wires and untangle ALL of them.

pics!

please excuse my welding, im only using FLUX core at the moment, still need to pick up some gas... and im still taking my welding class so they may not be that pretty!

brackets and boxes are looking good, just be careful how high you mount them if you are putting the bins back in. im not too sure where that connector goes yet.

negative captain, i absolutely hate the rear bins. those compartments are WAY too tiny for the amount of room back there... ill be making my own bins and hopfully that isnt too high still lol:/

and me either!!! i swear it does not exist in the shop manual.

ill give whoever 5 bucks if they can figure it out!!
