What do you mean, when you say different phasing of the rotors.

His header design looks similar to mine, not sure how many mufflers he has but it looks like he has at least one.

I was surprised he didn't go with a PPRE engine.

Thanks for the feedback on the sound of mine.

I was referring to the firing order. Since normal 4 rotors fire 1-3-2-4, and the rotors are phased 90 deg apart. If the lobes of the e-shaft were changed (for example, if the shaft was designed to fire the rotors like two 2 rotors welded together) it would certainly change the sound of the engine. See the Aussie home brew 4 rotor that was at a show a few months ago. Now, I don't actually think this is what's going on, it would probably make for a very imbalanced engine, I only bring it up to illustrate how far off I believe the sound to be.

As to where he got the components, I don't think it really matters that it's not a PPRE engine. It's my understanding that all of the shafts and (regardless of the "manufacturer") all ultimately come from 1 person (Jeff Bruce?). So everyone is kinda starting from the same place.

Like I said before, no disrespect intended towards Adam, it's just something fun to talk about.

Phasing is standard 4 rotor. And I would bet the engine came from the place it did because they think Adam posting it on YouTube will grow their business and gave him a killer deal on the billet plates.

At least it's better than the last version built by Vargas. Let's see how long the Vargas built TJHunt 3 rotor lasts haha. Poor car, it deserves better than scam artist work.

I hope Adam gets the car sorted, imagine having a billet 4 rotor and not even getting 450whp? And on top of that, not even getting the good 4 rotor noises? If you don't get the sound, and such low horsepower, there literally is no reason for it to

^ most people probably think Adam's car makes cool noises, it's just some of rotary puriest that think it doesn't sound good.

A brave man I would say. I've seen one too many accidents from capable friends to trust something of that caliber to many people. But as long as they aren't planning in beating on it to the point on being on the edge of traction, I can see trusting specific people.

My buddy Erich from Rad Potential put the car together and I trust him as he's not driving it to limits. Same thing with my other people that drive the car.

Here is a short clip of the car on the track. Doesn't sound and look as nearly as cool as other track videos cause he's not pushing it.

^ thanks.

Currently in the process of install IC7 with the A.I One Design Cluster. Super impressed with the cluster as it is built solidly.

Also in the process of updating the fuel pump bulk head connector and wiring. Hoping this fixes my issue with the fuel pressure dropping in the higher RPMs.

IC7 dash with the A.I One Design Cluster installed. Now that I have a functioning cluster, I was able to calculate my MPG and noticed that I get 20 MPGs.

Updated the fuel pump bulk head connector and wiring but unfortunately this didn't fix my issue with the fuel pressure dropping in the higher RPMs but the car is still fun reving up to 6k rpms.

Here is a short video.

I've probably put around 150 miles on the car in the past two month.

Kinda nervous about making the 250 mile trip to DGRR but looking forward to driving it in the mountains.

I'd vote to drive the car there if its ready... all about SPM(smiles per mile).
She looks super slick!!! Can't wait to see the 4 rotor rippin it at DGRR.
Maybe I could even get a quick ride in it

Also, we can update your IC-7 dash with a 4 Rotor Logo or something like that. lmk
I just did mine and posted it in my build thread.
See ya @ DGRR

I drove the car and put over 900 mile during DGRR weekend, car did great for the most part.

Here are some things I'm considering doing prior to the event next year
  • Replace walbro 255 with walbro 450
  • Wrap the end covers on the 99 spec wing
  • Install carbon fiber fender covers
  • Delete ABS
  • Have AC installed
  • Install ducting a fans on oil cooler
  • New tires
  • Remove oem wiring, fuse box and relays in the engine bay

Here is a video of Goodfellas driving the car.

Put about 100 miles on it this weekend.

Reach out to Eccentric Motorsports regarding their stainless ABS delete kit. It's a work of art with great fitment and gives you so much more room in the engine bay.
Regarding the fuse/relay relocation, what ECU are you using? I suggest moving to a PDM, I have done exactly this in my car and it's great.

yes, have seen Eccentric's ABS delete and it's nice.

I'm using Haltech Nexus R3.

Do you have a sunroof car with a headunit, OEM turn signals, headlights and what not? When and if I go with PDM I would like to keep all that OEM.

What did you do to make those cooler ducts?
Looks like you bolted some wider ABS plastic extensions onto the existing S8 ducts?

Would like to know more, like do they fit wide enough to fit over the whole 25 row cooler?
