This whole situation sucks

Over the years I've shipped many many parts, and I've found the method that minimizes the chances of problems is something like this: I pack the parts myself with bubble wrap and use pieces of cardboard in between the parts. I always have a buffer zone of packing material around all sides of all parts, and overstuff the box just a bit to minimize the chance of the box being crushed due to empty areas. I make sure to tape the box well on all seams with some quality tape, and then I personally ship the parts out via USPS 2 day priority mail with insurance and receipt confirmation. That's worked very well for me, with zero problems, knock on wood.

I have absolutely NO time, intention, or effort to jump knee-deep into this crap-flinging fest (lol) but this post was just SO dead-on that I could NOT resist refraining from posting... Because I find it so incredibly ironic that XxMerlinxX has been harassing the HELL outta me over the past few weeks for (what he perceives to be) the EXACT SAME REASON mentioned in the above post. He was jumping *all over me* - and in *multiple* threads mind you - about "not staying on top of things", and "not providing new information" - even when no new info was available to be given.

Being a vendor, I will remain civil, unbiased, and impartial. But I will say this: what goes around, if not now...then later - will inevitably come around. So do unto others as you'd want done unto yourself (and specifically XxMerlinxX, plz don't expect - and *especially* don't demand - of others what you are not prepared to do for others yourself)

Actually, from the looks of things he would be justified in getting upset. If I didn't give my personal # out, I wouldn't be too happy if a random person called it up. On top of all that, if he didn't question it earlier (Out of respect for his customer, I assume) there should really be no reason for you to bring that point up at all .

This post sums up my entire thread. It suprises me Porter that you consider yourself justified in harassing Ramy endlessly and in multiple venues (I might add), but at the same time gave me a hard-time for requesting updates and wanting you to contact me with them rather than vice-versa. Mind you, I kept my issues with you strictly to PM's until you felt the need for me to go forward and post about my issues with you in this section.



Atleast in the end, Ramy delivers the part as advertised. I can't say the same for you.....

Here's what I dont get--no one seems to pick up on things here. Here is a part that has been shipped to the wrong place, somewhere along the way the package was even opened, and the only thing you can do is to sling more crap at the seller like this. Is it merlin's fault that someone opened your package? I dont see how. It isnt even his fault that your package went to the wrong place to start with!

I dont know why no one has mentioned anything about asking the other buyer if he had opened the box, or what shape the package was in when he received it, etc etc etc. Now, before anyone tries to twist that, I am NOT in any way trying to blame sonic for this, but face it, he WAS the last person to see the condition of that package before it was sent to the right place. Maybe he can tell us something about the condition of the package, maybe he can tell us if he opened it, what he saw, if the other parts were there at the time, etc etc etc. If nothing else it could help to determine what took place and who is responsible for the damage.

No, you didnt, actually. You were posting in someone else's thread about him, actually divebombing someone else's thread that was not even about merlin, and thats where he told you to go ahead and make a thread of your own. Lets be honest here, please.

The reason I haven't talked to SonicRat is because I don't care anymore. I don't want to put him through the hassle of filing a claim because I still don't consider this any of his fault. Like I said before I'm not placing blame on anyone. That comment you quoted above is simply me stating how I feel. That I didn't receive the part as XxMerlinxX had advertised.



Finally, throughout this ENTIRE thread you have been calling me names, insulting my intelligence and generally acting like an ***. The one time I hinted at your intelligence level you took grave offense to my comment. I actually apologized. Not once have you and I don't expect it. Your hypocrisy in this thread is unmatched. From here on out, I will stop responding to your posts. I'm okay with you feeling that you somehow "won" your argument and you can continue bashing or whatever else you'd like to do.

This is the last time I'll also be responding to you XxMerlinxX. Since you keep insisting I tell you what you could've done, how about I tell you a story about what I did for a customer:


A customer contacted me about purchasing a part awhile back. I still had it for sale, showed him pictures and we agreed upon a price. He decided to purchase it. It was a large item so we decided upon a relatively cheap method of shipment. This method didn't allow me to place insurance on the item.

When he received the part, guess what, it was damaged! Even though, this wasn't my fault and we had both agreed upon the shipping method and understood there would be no insurance, I STILL worked with him to make sure he was happy. I ended up refunding him an amount to the point that he was satisfied. This was also NOT my fault, but I did what I had to do.





I already KNOW you wouldn't have done this without even having to ask. Hell, you refused to give me a refund without me taking a $50 hit. So yah, that is WHY I never answered your question about what you could've done. Because you were obviously not willing to do anything that would alleviate this situation. Got it? I really hope so....

Let's be honest here--if it 100% truly did not matter to you at all, you never would have said "it was not in the condition I expected". If it truly did not matter one bit you would not have brought it up. And I will be equally honest--there is nothing wrong with you saying it, in fact, I agree with you that it is not at all the way you were promised it was.

There is nothing at all wrong with complaining about it, but you need to stop the act and simply be honest--complaining about it would never take place if you truly didnt care one bit. Dont sit back there and say "I really dont care t all" when you obviously cared enough to bring it up to start with. No one asked you what condition it was in--we asked you for more info specifically because you complained about the condition. Think about that one for a bit.

and again you missed the point entirely. Your comments about merlin belonged in a separate thread. You dont need to go hijacking someone else's thread to trash merlin when he was not even the subject of that thread. And thats exactly what you did. To be quite honest, and at the risk of sounding even more like an *** than I already know I can, I personally dont care about the PMs, thats between you and him. But you posted this in a place where it didnt belong, and thats the fact. Next time, simply start a thread--you are certainly entitled to do so and thats what this section is for--but one word of advice:

Dont waste your time or anyone else's threatening in PMs, then in someone else's thread that you hijacked, to post a bad thread about someone. Thats just ridiculous. If you have an issue, and you feel it isnt getting resolved in PM, then just post a thread. Spare all the extra drama that will not help you or anyone else. You made repeated threats in different places that you were going to post a thread....just do it already. My comment was spot on because you went from PM to thread hijacking, and THEN you posted it where it belongs.

OK, now youre making no sense. You have plainly said that you did not want a refund, and now youre complaining that he refused to give you one.

Also, despite everything else in this thread, good bad or otherwise, I seriously think that you are not even giving him the chance to do anything. And then, youre blaming him for not doing what you want. Let's try to make some sense of all this:

1--you kept saying he did not do enough.
2--you were repeatedly asked what he could do to fix that for you.
3--you have yet to provide an answer.
4--you then continue complaining about the condition, even though "you truly dont care at all".
5--you try to put an end to it all right there--YOUR decision--and determine that he wont do anything to make this new problem right by you, without even giving him the chance to do so.

How much effort did you make to actually find out what happened, who ultimately was responsible for causing the damage? Honestly, in this thread, it doesnt look like you did anything. Its not exactly fair to complain about someone this much and then automatically assume they wont do anything and deny them the chance. Thats what you have done. And merlin is still asking what he could do to make this better. And youre still not answering him. You worked out something with that buyer of yours because you two communicated....and merlin is asking you for answers that you refuse to provide. How can he make anything right, no matter what his intentions are, when you act like that?
