If I'm correct, he uses this techique to get people to send him money for parts that he doesn't nessessarily
have perhaps, and the run-around email is a method to get people in a state-of-mind that they will not persue him for the parts as time slowly reduces a persons desire to take action to get the parts which are too cheap to merit going after him.

This is just my "guess" profile of that guy.
Thats just my definition for '*** kicking' Time only makes it worse for me

I'm another victim :(

Well here's my story. First of all, don't ever buy anything from this guy! I made the mistake over a year ago of buying a stock '85 Rx-7 stereo from this guy off www.partstrader.com. I sent him the money, hassled him forever to send me the part and all I got was excuses like the ones I read in previous posts. Mostly "Be patient" or "I'm having trouble with Customs" (he's in Canada). Well I finally got the stereo in the mail a few months later after I had completely given up on emailing him. When this thread started I thought, wow, I got lucky, at least I got my part eventually.

Fast forward to this August, the 13th to be exact. I won the following item on eBay:

Click here to view eBay Item

Little do I know that this is the same guy that I bought the stereo from over a year ago. I didn't realize it until I won the item and he sent me an email with payment instructions. I immediately recognized the email address, "roadradio@primus.ca". My heart sank into my stomach. Now whats a guy to do. Here I am with an item I really dont want to buy now because I know who he is, but If I don't pay he can trash my eBay rating. I'm also thinking, who knows, maybe he changed his ways, besides, he's got lots of positive feedback.

So I send him the money, $25 for the part and $35 for shipping! It's either that or get negative feedback. I send him a International Money Order as he requsted. A few weeks go buy and I have no part or emails from him. I don't need to go explain the rest because you know it. Email's to him and him replying with excuses. My patience has run out now. It's almost 3 months since the auction ended and you only get 90 days to leave feedback on eBay. So here is his eBay name so you know to AVOID IT if you see any auctions you are interested in. "buddyglancaster" is his name. I can't believe I got stuck with this clown again! Oh well, what can I do except hope that one day he sends it. He does have some negative feedback on eBay now. Remember, "buddyglancaster" is the name.

Man, I'd rather have taken the negative feedback than be out $65 for nothing.

Can you believe this guy is still at it? Absolutely insane.

BTW - Still nothing from the 'honest and very sorry' John.

This is funny, I just got an email from John today, then this thread came back to life. Anyway, I bashed him in his feedback profile on eBay, and left him a second negative (followup) feedback, after he followed up on my feedback saying he was working to resolve the situation, Bullsh*t. Anyway, I guess he read my follow-up and got a little pissed, this is what he wrote me.... laugh with me.

How dare you call me a thief?I am not in the habit of ripping people off. I admit,I could be more efficient, but I am not a thief.I don't have any records on my computer of our transaction, could you please send me an email with the info about what you bought and how much you paid.
Thank you
Could be more efficient he says!?!?!? I kept all the B.S. emails I got from him with his promises of shipping and forwarded them to him.

I did a little search with his email address on Yahoo and came up with this website, with a number :)
I wouldn't go as far as to call and harass him for $60 but someone else might want to?? :)

Have you thought about
1) Filing a police report for mail fraud?
2) Emailing everyone that bids on his merchandise?

Although helpfull, emails aren't legally binding documents as I have learned. Your original purchase agreement is from Ebay or where ever. Contact Ebay and have him shutdown.

I have dealt with people like this who are compulsive liars and pathetic con men who try and take me or my customers. What I have found out, is that eventually they come across the wrong person and disappear. It's only a matter of time. I have seen guys get both legs broken over 50 bucks. It's karma and it's only a matter of time.

Here's how it's done, I just sent a bidder an email:

I don't mean to bother you. I was just browsing for my 7 and remembered something I read.

Sorry for any trouble I have caused.

People will want to know trust me. I have been warned many times myself about sellers.

If you sent him money then you have an address. Why don't you PM a couple of guys that live near and might pay him a visit to pick up your stuff?
Tell him you have friends within driving distance that will pick up the parts you paid for and see what he has to say. I can give you a few names that you can PM if you want.

This guy's been at it for quite a while, too. 2 years ago I decided not to buy a gas tank from him - he wanted $200 and told me they were "very rare". LOL, two weeks later a guy gave me one for free.

He claimed to be in Ontario at the time.

If anybody knows him, or better yet if he posts here, let us know please.

I have dealt with the guy in person actually last april or may. I can't remember where I got his email from thought. Maybe partstrader??? He lives about 25 minutes from me but I have never been to his house. Supposedly he is a some sort of musician and does 1st gen stuff on the side.

Anyways I had an 85 beater GS I sold to him for 100 bux and NEW front and rear brake rotors. The rears were fine cuz they were 85 but the fronts were 82-83. He described a method in which the 82-83's could be customed on my 85 GSL but needless to say it didn't work. I might be able to dig up his phone number if someone wants it.

The next time he writes anyone back saying he is not a thief... feel free to mention 'Trav' from Nova Scotia. Perhaps the $300 he never returned might jog his memory. I'm sure he'd remember me... we exchanged about 50 emails and spoke on the phone a few times.

I'm still pissed about this and it's been well over a year. It is unbelievable how little repercusion there is for theft. After he blackmailed his way out of being banned on ThePartsTrader, I contacted the RCMP and the short answer is that I could sue him in small claims court in Ontario. That was it. Yet he continues to steal from others. Unbelievable.

blast from the past

Wow. Thanks to RX7 club I just saved $140.00. I was looking for a gauge cluster for my 1985 gsl-se on Kijiji.ca and emailed a guy in Toronto...I'm in Edmonon. He replied back right away that he had one and in excellent condition for 140 bucks. The name of the seller...John Oliveira. The name sounded familiar from somewhere so I came here and searched his name and voila...found this thread. Guess I'll keep looking.

Thanks for the heads up. And sorry that a fellow Canadian would pull crap like that.
