Exclamation w00t -- still waiting for a refund

I am about to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of paying w00t for a set of FC 5-lug hubs/spindles w/ ABS sensors and a series of delays, excuses, and a complete breakdown of communications.

The majority of this transaction was made through PM's. I have made my best effort to organize them with timestamps (based on the forum's timeclock).

Summary:
06-28-08 Paid for 5-lug swap w/ ABS gears/pigtails/sensors. $200 shipped, paid through PayPal.
01-03-09 Request for refund of $175. At this point no items nor tracking number(s) received.
06-22-09 PM'ed mods.
06-23-09 Instructed to make thread.

WTB to PayPal Receipt

I have edited the PM's for redundant replies so I can insert timestamps and organize them. I still have the original PM's (oldest one in there is from '07 )

Subject: 5 Lug Swap?
Hello again! Still working on getting the mirror I bought from you installed. Broke the glass taking it apart to paint it.

Anyway, I'm interested in the 5 lug hubs/spindles/knuckles on all 4 corners if they have the ABS sensors and as much as the chassis side connector wires as

possible.

Would you do $80+shipping to 94589+PayPal Fees?

***Earliest I'll be able to pay is Friday (if anyone wants the swap, I don't want to keep it from them).

Thanks!

Subject: Re: 5 Lug Swap?
Sorry to hear about that man!

So you don't need the calipers/rotors/etc. etc.? Just the hubs/spindles/knuckles? They do have the ABS sensors, I'll probably pull the ones off my good T2

for you and not my parts car because that has manual everything so I'm not even sure if it has the ABS sensors and gear.

I finally got my parts car to my house so I'll go out today and check out the hubs for you and get back to you man.

Thanks,
Shawn

I managed to get another mirror glass, so that won't set me back too much.

Looks like I'm going to need the calipers/rotors as well. How much total for the full swap?
w00t @ 6-23-08, 01:35 PM
Subject: Re: 5 Lug Swap?
Nice.

I only have 1 front caliper. I'll do $145+fees+shipping. How does that sound?

Shawn.

Oh, I also have ABS pump, lines, etc. etc. everything for the swap if you need it.
Howru @ 06-23-08, 05:32 PM

Subject: 5 Lug Swap?
Sounds good. As mentioned earlier, I can pay Friday. Let me know the total and I'll pop by PPCalc.com to figure out fees.

Thanks!

Subject: Re: 5 Lug Swap?

Alright man, I'll see if I can fit them in a flat rate priority box, that way it'll be $9 per box and i can fit a hub assembly per box, probably be

the

cheapest way to ship them.

Do you need any other parts? Or anything else ABS related? I have a whole system I'm not using.

Thanks,
Shawn

Hey man,

Is the deal still on for the hubs? Just wanted to make sure.

Yep, still on. I'll PayPal first thing tomorrow morning. Can you send your PayPal?

If possible, can you see if you can use the Hold For Pickup option at a local UPS or Post Office location?

My Address: [my address]

Nearest post office: 485 Santa Clara St., Vallejo, CA 94590-0058

Thanks!

Awesome man. Yeah, I should be able to have them hold it. I still have to finish pulling them, I should be done tomorrow so they'll be in the mail

Saturday

or Monday if that's cool.

My paypal address is Shawnskx80@yahoo.com

The rotors don't look that bad, and I'm pretty sure I will be able to fit them in a flat rate box.

I'm still trying to figure out the cheapest way to ship them for you. What i was thinking, if you still wanted the rotors, I can put a hub assembly per flat

rate box, and all the rotors in a separate flat rate box because i don't know if they'll fit with the hubs.

Just let me know if you have any other ideas or if you want me to just put them all in a big box and ship it that way.

Thanks again,
Shawn

Howru @ 06-27-08, 02:56 AM
Subject: 5 Lug Swap?
Best way I can think of is to ship them in pairs, the knuckles kinda nestled together and bubble wrap/padded on all sides. If it comes down to

shipping each

knuckle/hub assembly in individual boxes, then go for it.

I won't need the brake rotors -- I'll likely grab a new set at the parts store (and save some pain shipping them here).

Thanks!

Subject: 5 Lug Swap - Payment sent
Payment sent for the 5 lug swap/calipers. I sent an even $200, so after PayPal fees, it should be ~$193 ($145 for the swap, $45 for shipping, $10 for

fees/misc)

Thanks again!

Got it! Thanks Chris!

I hadda a little mix up lol. I brought over my parts car Turbo II and started pulling the hubs, but I just remembered you wanted ABS hubs, which the parts

car doesn't have. D'oh!

But don't worry, I'm bringing over my other Turbo II tomorrow which has full ABS and pulling the hubs over the weekend, so they should still be done by

Sunday/Monday.

I'll keep you updated on everything, Chris.

Thanks again,
Shawn

Hey Chris. Just an update for ya; I got 1 hub off, 1 I need to use a breaker bar on the spindle nut because my impact can't take it off(and it's a

biggg

1/2") and 1 that I need to remove the lower bolt on and it's off. They should very much likely be off tomorrow. I'll update once I get them all off and

packed up.

Ran into my first problem, Chris.

While trying to remove the rear PS rotor that was frozen on, I used the bolt method through the rotor screw trick, and it didn't work. So I got some freeze

off and got the rotor off today, but the abs gear broke from the bolt method. Don't worry, I'm trying to find you a replacement now, and I will of course pay

for it. I'm almost done removing all of them, sorry it's taken this long, just ran into a lot of little problems that took up time.

Thanks for the update, and its great that you're finding a replacement ABS gear. I'm surprised any seller would do that.

Thanks again!

No problem Chris, just trying to fix what I broke, lol. All the hubs are off and in a single box, I'm going to see how I can pack them tomorrow and if

you

want I can just send them asap and then send a ABS gear as soon as I find one. I think like the 2 front hubs the rotors are still on them and I can't take

them off since the hubs are off the car but once you get them on your car they should come off with a decent hit with a sledge.

I finally bit the bullet and found a decent s4 T2 shell here, and I need as much of the the wiring harnesses for an S4 (all if possible), the AFM and

ECU.

I'm still taking inventory of what I got with the car, but it looks like I might need the stock intake hoses/couplings from the AFM to the intercooler.

Thanks again!

Chris,

I have the compete body harness, and most of the other wiring besides the ECU harness. I'm not sure if I'm selling my ECU and AFM yet.

I do have a TID that's in good condition. I should have the intercooler couplers.

Let me know exactly what you need and I'll see if I have the parts.

Finally got over the rush of SevenStock.

Whenever you are able, please send the hubs. I'm planning to install them when I replace all the bushings in the next month or two. The one with the broken

gear isn't an issue as long as the rest are OK.

I'm trying to get an update on the set of T2 hubs I bought from you back on June 27 (Trans ID: 8JX25686975477504).

I've sent a PM back in October and another a few days ago and haven't gotten a response. You've got some active for sale threads going, so it might've gotten

buried.

As mentioned before, the hub with the broken gear is no longer going to be a problem, as long as the other 3 are OK. If you've lost my address, let me know.

Hello Chris,

I have only gotten I think 1 PM from you within the last month or 2, and that one I responded to.

What is your address so I can get them out. It still might take me a few days because I don't have the funds on hand to ship them ASAP but they will go out

very soon.

The other 3 are fine, just the one has the broken ABS ring gear that we discussed.

My coolant seals blew out and my priorities have shifted from the project car the 5-lug/ABS sensor set to getting my rebuild up and running.

I've been waiting 6 months for them to arrive, and the last reply I received was back in November. At this point, I'd like to get a refund.

The original agreement was for $200 paypal'd/shipped. I'd like to try and get $175 paypal'd. I'm taking a loss of ~$25, but I need to get my rebuild done and

I'd like to resolve this as soon as possible.

PayPal is Howru.o.O@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Google is fun

For the heck of it, I Googled his name, and found this thread on the TriStateTuners forums by OMGShawn: http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/....php?p=1140834

That forum required a registration to view the complete thread, so I signed up there as Hayaru.

Price: See discrp.

Description:
Looking to mainly trade, but if someone wants to buy it that works too. It's a 1998 Toyota Tacoma, 2wd, Auto(shifts great), A/C blows cold, heat works great, regular cab. NEW tires, all around. Blue booked for $3,3XX without the tires. 141K, oil was changed 2K ago. Runs great, no problems, gets me anywhere I want without a hassle. Looking to trade for a S13, not stock. If I had to put a price on it I would want at LEAST $3300. Truck is lowered 4" but can be put back to stock height.

I can repaint it if you want or spray the bed with bedliner for a little bit more.

Truck is rust FREE, frame as inspected by toyota and passed with flying colors. Also has a brand new ignition cylinder and key because the old one had a bad tumbler. CLEAN title and ready to go!

Here's the only pic I have right now, will get more tomorrow.

That's all for now

I know it's been nearly a year (and PayPal won't do anything past 45 days), but I had my hopes up that I would be able to handle this in private. I'll continue to add new information as I get it, but will keep bumps, ^'s, and to TTT's to a maximum of once every 48 hours per forum rules.
