Because it makes you look like a tool. Kinda like standing out in your front yard under a blue sky and trying to tell your neighbor it is actually red.

I thought you were "done" with this thread? More lies, I suppose.

You have long since took the position of being the "tool" of this thread.

See thats part of the whole problem. Kevin has had to waste lots of his time reselling the garbage parts when he could have actually been making money instead of trying to recover from a loss due to this horrible sale.

How can you even say this thread is questionable? Did you not read this thread, the sale thread, or even look at the pictures before you blindly hit the reply button? You're beginning to seem awfully like the people who defend the St. Louis scamers.... Don't tarnish the Chicago name with your stupidity like they have with St. Louis.

You failed elementary math didn't you? Go back and reread all the pages in this thread. Count the people who are on which side... Your dead wrong....

Speaking of failure, your "customer service" is quite lacking. Just because you respond to PMs doesn't mean you have stellar customer service. You see, when you advertise something to be in good working order and it arrives at the buyers door in a condition that was not advertised then the proper thing to do would be to refund the buyer in full and take the **** back. Even if it means taking a hit. If the customer does not receive what was paid for(in this case a good condition usable turbo kit) then it is on the seller to make right by a full refund. It doesn't get any more simple than that. Had you done that this would be a positive thread for you. But instead you fucked the customer because you were not willing to take a hit at all and decided to let the customer take that hit. That, sir, is pathetic customer service...

Read what I said....

"You're beginning to seem awfully like the people who defend the St. Louis scamers."

Doesn't matter where he lives, I never said anything about that. Its the fact that your supporting the BS like those idiots. After seeing the chitownr1 debacle it's aggravating seeing someone in this area defending what looks like the same kind of BS.

I'm not biased for either side here. I read the sale thread and this thread, and read what both sides have had to say here. I formed my view accordingly, as did most people. Maybe turbodrx7 should tell us all what he told you in your AIM conversation. Because the side of the story he has presented in this thread have not helped.

Congrats on your 50 sales...
Sucks you got hosed on the $1500 though.

The vert? *sigh* When I decide to stop taking it apart over and over....

Ok juiceh, im going to try to be as calm as i can right now, but i am just so tired of people missing things. I did NOT scam kevin. A scammer would be someone who steals money, i didnt steal any money from kevin, there was mearly some crossed wires on the way the deal went down. Kevin didnt ask ANY questions about it, except for what kind of turbo it was. Nothing at all. Did he expect perfect $3000 new turbo kit parts, of course he did, he thinks that is all he deserves, i mean ****, hes kevin landers isnt he? Did he get them? Of course not, he payed $700 for a USED turbo kit. Used parts are USED parts. Kevin wasted his time with this? He spent more time trying to get me to take his side, and do what he asked he could have already had the stuff gone. He sold the majority of the stuff within HOURS. You dont know anything about me, dont be so quick to judge. I dont have a problem with you stating your side, but do not insult me by calling me a scammer. If my customer service sucked, i would have told kevin to shove it, and stopped responding. I have lost money in deals, its how it goes.

I really don't care what you think.
In fact, it doesn't even matter what you even think about yourself.

The point is what OTHERS think about you due to your retorts.
You think you're trying to defend yourself and look like an innocent guy in all of this, but you're not.
Actually, the final conclusion is what everyone else thinks about you.
I don't think you even care what I think.
So far, I think the majority has been negative towards you - right?

I tried to play devil's advocate in this matter.
Why you getting all defensive?
I only stated facts that was overwhelming obvious due to the evidence presented.
That's all I did.

Also...
Why did you bring up the argument about PayPal fees?
If you did a proper *refund* through PayPal, there should be no fees involved.
All you guys would've been out is shipping (and possibly handling) fees.
You would've ended up what exactly what you started out with - your items.
You lost shipping costs to ship everything to RR.
RR has stated he would graciously pay for the return shipping - that's no cost to you.
So RR lost money shipping everything back to you.
You lost money shipping - RR lost money shipping it back.
You're back to square one.
Why are you so upset for?
Cause you though you sold something perfectly usable and now you're getting back junk and you know you can't get any money for it?
Now you sound like a crybaby...

So the only people who made out on this bad transaction was the shipping companies.

Oh, don't take my word on it - remember, you don't give a **** what I think.

Don't bother replying to this, cause my involvement in this thread ends here.

My involvement ends here also...Hope everyone works everything for everyone.

Kevin: I was trying to get in a pissy match with you..I was just stating the obvious. I never wanted it to come to this type of childish bullshit, meaning you and I. You are a reasonable guy but sometimes I think, and many others think, that you are a perfectionist, which is good in your work but sometimes not good for a seller. I totally see where you are coming from and I know how you feel because the exact same thing happened to me when I bought a 35R kit. infact here is a picture of the wheel just so you know im not bullshitting or something:

I took responsiblity in making the purchase because i felt like it was my fault not his. He didnt know about it. That is why i get so "hot" over this topic.

RETed: Your a stand up guy period. All the information you post on the forum i value greatly.

turbodrx7: Goodluck with the this whole ordeal.

So as I see it, things went like this. Kevin sees pictures of turbo kit. Decides $700 is a steal of a deal and buys the kit. Kit gets there and it's torn up. Says the turbos blown and the other pieces are crap. My reasoning says he should've been able to see the questionable nature of the other pieces from the original pictures. From the pictures Kevin posted of the bad parts, it seems that it would've been obvious from the get go that they might've been sub-par. I'm going to reason that Turbodrx7 figures since the turbo is blown and the wastegate is not usable, he'll refund half of the payment made since only half of the kit is worth keeping. Kevin takes the money and decides he doesn't want anything to do with any part of the kit, so sells the whole thing off. Is still not happy and posts this thread. Gets offered another $50 so he's only out $50, takes it? (I don't know, didn't see if he did or not), and is wanting....? I'm not sure. Another $50 so that you're out nothing? I guess I don't see the point of continuing this thread anymore?

RETed, I think you need to reread some of the thread as Charlies7 isn't the seller.

Kevin- You started off with saying this post wasn't about him scamming or anything of the sort, only that it was a "questionable" business transaction. Why all the name calling then? After all of this he still offered you another $50, so you'd only be out another $50 from the whole ordeal. This, to me at least, is not "scamming". If he had scammed you, you'd have jackshit to show for all of this. I think this is why people are saying things should possibly get toned down. You didn't get scammed. You might've gotten a bad deal considering you lost $50, but you definitely didn't get scammed. I don't know what pics you saw to begin with, but you should've gotten an idea of what you were buying with them. If not, ask for more pictures, especially of a turbo kit that's been worked on. Because of that, you shouldn't really be bitching about the quality of the other pieces. The only thing you can really argue about is the turbo, which was advertised as in good working condition, and you never saw pics of the internals. If you're pissed about the wastegate, you should've instructed him to make a claim through the shipping courier.

As far as what turbo turbodrx7 should've done, I think a shipping claim should've been filed no matter what, because the wastegate obviously got fucked in transit. There's just no reason why that shouldn't have been one of the steps taken when resolving this, then the whole thing probably could've been smoothed over.
