Trouble with drifter_sr

All started about a month ago, I had purchased interior parts (doors, carpets, bins) from drifter_sr and was assured quick shipment....well after about a week or so, nothing was shipped and we kept good contact. I felt I was starting to get a bit of a runaround with him, but he assured me he was not going to "rip me off". After a few weeks he contacted me saying that shipping was too expensive and he will refund my money... ok no real problem so far, other then me selling some of my stuff that I expected to get his parts to replace... my fault there, not his...

He did attempt to send me 200 of the 240 i had sent to him, but he sent it through echeck, which has a delay of about 5 days business time, also assured me he will send the other 40 asap. Well after 5 business days I check my paypal to see the hold has extended to february 23rd, caused by a decline from his bank for the echeck (Im assuming bounced check, but my words, not his, i dont know)

I contacted him again to let him know, he said he called paypal and only thing we can do is wait... alright, not to impressed, but still okay.

I then recontacted him reminding him that he still has yet to send all the money (40 remaining from the 240) no response for three days, even though he has logged on...

Starting to become a small problem, so I decide to check my paypal account today to see the status of payments, and if the extra 40 was sent.... nothing sent, and the echeck has been removed from paypal, so no money

I just want my 240$ back, I will say he was great with communication through all of this, but the last three days and the removal of the echeck has caused me some great concern.

I hope we can figure everything out, and hope he can refund me money for parts I was supposed to buy.

MODS- I have all the pms sent from us, if you like.

I am really hoping he can contact me and send my refund before I have to file a paypal dispute, or a chargeback on my creditcard. either way time is running out to do the paypal dispute, and I can only imagine the problems that come with doing that, for the both of us. Heres to hoping a quick and easy solution is found!

my advice-- when in doubt, file a PP dispute. I hope you used a c/c for your sake.

I have filed a dispute with paypal, and it will escalate into a claim if I do not hear from drifter_sr in a timely manner.

here it is, I was not the smartest and I did the talking about the parts with him through pm, Sorry. I know management prefers posting on the thread. Seems like a very solid buyer and seller, 87GTR, is also having troubles with him. Here is what was sent to me in pm last night.

drifter_sr:
sorry bro. i have been really busy with other things and moving. it is really stressfull moving and i dont get the chance to use the internet until i get to my causins house. so lucky i checked.. i know what happened was when i thought you got the money already i used my card on the movers.. that is probably what happened but if it doesnt go through next week just cancel it and ill just send it straight from paypal to paypal.. cause im using their refund method.. i never used it before but if it doesnt work next week then just let me know ill send it the other way..

Now it sounds legit, but it appears others are having troubles with him also. Its 240$ I want back, so I can use towards the Twin Turbo Group buy. Not happy at this point. I sent him a pm reply letting him know that the refund(only 200?? not 240) was removed and not by myself. I have an open dispute, that will turn into a claim soon if nothing goes well. I just want what is mine, my money!

thanks roller.

Still no money, even though he said it would be sent. Does anyone on this forum know him personally??? I need my money, and if it were me in his shoes, the first thing I would do after not being able to ship would be to return the money... been some time and I feel this is going to be a pain in the *** for me to deal with

The paypal dispute has been escalated into a claim. Mods, I suggest you not allow him to sell anything else (even though he has no activity for a while) but it may save some other people from future problems.

he does have recent activity. he was on this forum on 2/20. We are locking his FS threads and he has been notified that if he continues to try to sell parts before he refunds your money, he will be banned.

Please keep us updated, and I will do the same if I ever hear back from him.....

Well paypal has closed the claim and refunded my credit card in the amount of 240$, it was closed as drifter_sr never even attempted to contest the claim, even though he knew it was there. There has been no communication between me and him for 10 days, and I dont expect there to be any in the future. I dont want to see someone get ripped off from him again, as it took two months to get my money back (not long for paypal actually.) Hope the mods dont let him sell anything till he does some major explaining.
