well i don't know any of you guys so I can throw out my unbiased opinion... just from reading these situations...I have no respect for trochoid....sounds like he has a big head and just because he helps out and "knows his stuff" should get special treament? If he gave a price and time frame for work and then received payment for said work... he should meet that agreement...or at least be within' reason....but months or years after the fact...that's absurd and shouldn't be tolerated.

Personally I think he's got some set of ***** even posting on this forum while ignoring this. The man is completely full of himself if he is so brazen as to feel no remorse or humility over this.
I have certainly lost respect for him, not because he hasn't taken care of the financial responsibility so much as because he has failed to address this. -And I did respect him for his knowledge, too. I even invited him to my forum because of it. But I don't care how much you know, you can't go ******' people in the community that holds you in high regards. It's just isn't right.
-And I do know Jon, personally. He's a great guy, and never questions what good work cost and never tries to dicker. It burns me as a friend of his, because he's NOT made of money and you couldn't find a nicer guy than Jon. It also burns me as a business person because **** like this can cause apprehension and anxiety with new customers. I don't need my customers climbing up my *** all of the sudden, demanding I finish their work faster because some well respected dipshit screwed over a another well respected community member.
In short, this type of business is bad for all business.

I'd give my left nut to have knowledgeable rotary folks available in my area (Detroit) like sterling, Robert, and yep, even Trochoid. The closest shop to me is Bonzai Racing, which used to be 60 miles away, but moved to the Indy area which is like 4 hours. It's a shame to see one of those resources basically say f-you to their customers like Trochoid just did.

Welcome to his "Dark side" . Like everyone else this is hard to believe and knowing that he is reading this is absolutely a slap in the face to everyone who repected him on this forum! Man up brother!

I don't think any conclusions could be incorrectly "jumped to" at this point that wouldn't be giving Scott far too much benifit of doubt. It seems pretty obvious that he has no intention of resolving this.

The PM I sent him had a link in it. It was sent a few minutes after I posted both threads.
One of the two threads was also briefly visible in the 1st Gen and 1st Gen Tech sections which he frequents and when it was moved here, redirects were left in place.
So I think it's safe to assume he knows about the threads.
But if you guys want to PM him again just to make sure he knows, feel free.
Jon

I hate to be on anyones side in a situation like this, but I think its kinda bad form to have a thread that discusses these sorts of business dealings on the main section of the forum. That is what the ggbg section is for, sullying peoples reps (albeit justified), and really, to say that its good that its on here instead of buried in the ggbg section, where nobody can read it, is kinda playing it the wrong way. Should his admittedly sound and relavent tecnical advice and him, as a good advisor, be lessened by the fact that he can't seem to keep his **** straight?
How can you expect Trochoid to post up on this? You guys are like the pitchfork and torch carrying villagers, and you expect Frankenstein's monster to pop out and be like "wuzzup?"? idk. I wish I had an extra set of hands, so I could give us all : : : :
