man that sucks, i hope you get your engine or money back, this happened to me a couple months ago, i bought a mazdaspeed spoiler for my protege( finally after looking for one for a long *** time) the total was 200shipped, the guy always respond to my email's, that is until he got the money, then there was no way in hell to contact him. thank god i was using paypal and they refunded me the money, i hope paypal got in contact with him and made him pay them. ******* scammers.

update. still no response from police department. still trying to contact him. actually he's online on aim as we speak. but he isnt responding.

Keep calling the police...get a detective's name that is in charge of the investigation. Call once or twice a week to get an update. Eventually, they'll have to go do something just to get you to stop calling. It's over the $500 limit, and should be considered grand theft, and they should show some interest in the case. It's a felony.

That is ridiculous. I'd keep calling them anyway - IC3 isn't going to do anything for you at all. Just remind them that internet or not, they have a criminal in their jurisdiction that stole over a thousand dollars from you, and they're not going to do anything about it? That's ridiculous. Keep on them.

A final update.

Unforuntately I was not able to recover the lost money from this guy. All leads turned up empty and authorities did little to help. Mostly running me in circles. From both my cities PD and his supposed cities PD.

Moral of story? Never EVER use Moneygram or anything of the like.

Can someone have this thread closed? Thanks.
