I'm on risky devil's side here if the internals aren't what they were supposed to be. Good compression or not that isn't what he paid for.

Dude it's so simple.

One of the rotors had two updated style seals with the small corners and one older style seal with a big corner. That's what came out. Ryan from ShookMotorsports called David and told him this, on speakerphone, in front of me, when he took the motor apart.

Ryan took the motor apart, and found mixed up seals that were clearly reused, among many other flaws. He found broken pieces. He found scarring.

We hadn't even seen the stuff in person when we got the phone call. David and I were hanging out, got the call and were told this by a third party who has no bias or need to lie in this transaction. The seals were fucked, along with everything else inside.

David is just telling you what his engine builder told him, and what we then saw in person with our own eyes when we visited the shop. We even brought a camera, and got the whole thing on film, just to make sure.

Don't shoot the messenger. It's not our fault you put crap in the motor, and then sold it as good. That's your fault. Man up.

Notice the corner seal on #1 , its using an older type design.

The springs had so much wear they cut into the notch on the seal and that does not look like apex seals with 1300 miles on it.

Front apex seals. When my builder said it was cracked, I thought he was talking about a hairline fracture ....

damaged #1 rotor, and both housings have a significant amount of chatter and flaking on the bottom side edges.

Video of sideplate wear

So yes, this motor is COMPLETE TRASH and Tim you owe me a motor, or my money back.

To add, I know Ryan from Shookmotorsports and is a stand up guy and builder. Risky isnt trying to manipulate this at all despite the 4 month absence of this thread or when it should have been started.

Ok. thats not the full rebuild kit...

Also, showing some invoice for 'some' parts you ordered isn't proving anything.

The stuff in motor looks heavily used. So either you are posting your receipt to get people to believe you, or your builder or you

kept your parts and threw used stuff in... Can you stop beating around the bush

Either way, you owe me cash/parts for what I paid for.

On the phone you said you going to find an answer for what you owe me, and on the internet your trying to stall me...

Dude, I don't know what your trying to but... I have all your info. I swear to god...don't think this is gonna blow over that easily.

OK, let's take a look here. Can anyone tell me why this parts order shows that exactly two apex seals were purchased? Correct me if I am wrong, but doesnt a 2-rotor engine need a total of 6 of those? And wouldnt that actually support the findings that there were old and new seals mixed together in the engine?
Here--let me explain a bit better. There are 6 sets of seals we're talking about here....3 apex seals for each rotor, right? Take a look at the pictures that risky devil posted--note that of the 6 pairings, only TWO are of the new design, while the remaining FOUR are the old design. Four old corner seals/apex seals, with two new-design seals. Now, compare that to the parts receipt that the seller just posted......where only two new apex seals were purchased. Can anyone tell me why that looks bad for the seller?

Funny thing too--you cant even claim that risky devil staged that photo because you didnt post the receipt info showing only two apex seals until after he posted the pics. I hate to tell you, but that evidence alone would be enough for the seller to lose in court if this were a civil suit.

Finally, just to check the info in front of us, I went to the mazdatrix website. It dawned on me that you might try to claim that you bought two sets of apex seals, not two individual ones. If that is your plan, allow me to kill that one off right now, because on the same website you ordered those parts from, there is a quote:

Apex Seals
Note: The carbon apex seals are designed for racing only. They seal better above 8k rpm due to their lighter weight. They do NOT last very long (20k miles on the high side), and do NOT seal well at low rpm's (like starting and at idle).
Not recommended for turbo, supercharged, or nitrous engines.
All part numbers are for ONE seal, six seals needed per 2-rotor engine.
here is a link to the exact part you ordered--clearly, the order you showed us was for two individual seals, which is nowhere near enough for this brand-new build youre claiming it was....

http://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.as...m=11-C00C-N351

In fact, a look on the rotor parts page:

http://www.mazdatrix.com/b3.htm

--even shows a photo of the two seals you bought....exactly the same as the two newer design seals shown in risky devil's pics posted in this thread.

Bottom line, something fishy took place. I dont know if your builder tried to scrape by with old parts or whatever, but at this point it is on you to make this right. You advertised a motor for sale in a condition far better than it obviously was....and you are responsible for fixing that.

Besides bumping this thread, I think someone should visit the OP. This is just not right. At this point its quite obvious he doesn't care.

I also think this thread should be renamed as RiskyDevil doesn't seem to be the problem here. Replace it with the OP's name as that's probably more appropriate.

I see your point, but at least for now the thread title will remain. There are some reasons behind this, please bear with me on it. In the meantime, my best advice would be to consider legal action. Consider the value of the seats, plus the $500 you gave him also. Small claims court would be the right place for this, and you have a pretty solid case in my opinion.

if you do take him to court make sure (as always) to take the receipt
and pic of the damage dont come unprepared cause its not going to help.
and you could expect to gain not lose when you have this much evidence
^^^to Risky Devil

to the other guy .... you got the better end of the deal but prepare to pay more if he decides
to take you to court.... also dont ask for money when you know your product isnt worth much

the hilarity is derived from the turnaround of the argument. OP was complaining about Riskydevil, while Risky was the one that got fucked on this deal. Now that the argument is flipped, OP is having to defend his (weak) case. Epic lulz

One more post like this and you can have a vacation from the forum. We are all supposed to be adults here, by now I would have thought that everyone would know better than to post something as disgusting, uncalled-for, and even illegal as what you tried to leave in this post. Consider this your warning, next time there wont be one.
