balasky (Would not refund or work with me for an error in our transaction)

It was recommended to me by another member to write a review. I was looking for the front chassis harness and found balasky part out thread. It was a 5 speed which is important for this harness. Balasky wasnt aware that the car he was parting out was converted to a 5 speed so he mistakenly thought the chassis was manual and not automatic. I asked for a full/partial refund and would return it and never heard back. So he kept 700 and I got a harness that I didnt ask for.

Jim, I agree and offer the same to anyone who buys from me regardless of the platform. Unfortunately many sellers no longer operate with integrity.

Good to hear.
Yes some don't operate accordingly which is a big mistake on many levels.
The "Golden Rule" is a great guide....folks often buy the wrong part due to miscommunication or whatever and the wise seller gladly takes return....and the result is more often than not REPEAT sales of greater value.

He owes you all your money back. There's no excuse for this behavior.

Hey guys I just noticed this thread and it's strange how you havent contacted me prior to making a thread you contacted me once I said I would try and get you another harness and if I couldnt i would offer a partial refund!! And you contacted me about the harness out of a car I was selling I did not post this item for sale you did not ask me any questions about the harness nor did I ever state it was for a 5 speed vehicle which honestly i figured it was anyway! This transaction was more of a hassle I was trying to do someone a favor usually when someone asks for a part out of a car I am selling I turb them down and from this point on I plan on doing just that

Wickedywick said he never heard back from balasky regarding a partial refund at the start of this thread. Balasky said he would offer a partial refund if he couldn't find a replacement harness in the post above. Last screen shot of the original post shows the text conversation taking place in August. I would think if a replacement wasn't found quickly, then this matter should have been resolved by now. Simplest resolution at this point is a return and refund and both parties move on.

I am not giving a full refund it wasnt my mistake I wasnt parting out a car I never stated the harness was for sale or if it was 5 speed or auto the buyer messed up and thinks he can go after the seller but yes I will work with him, his username has been since changed and would like to see our messages threw this forum I have since messaged him and no answer threw text message he hasn't messaged me asking if I have found a harness or if I could partial refund him so I assumed he used the harness because it is possible and not that big of a deal but if that's the case he can contact me via phone call or text message not false claims on the forum to attempt to taint my name

I bought taillights from Jim. They were supposed to be oem 99's but it turned out they were a really well done conversion and he was unaware at the time of sale. When I got them, I contacted Jim immediately. I sent them back, and he refunded me just as quickly. I don't understand why that's so difficult for some people. We need more Jims.

You’re tainting yourself with the attitude and defensive excuses. How is anything less than a full refund less shipping in order? It’s the wrong part. Whether you were actively selling it or not is entirely irrelevant. You admit your own lack of communication, but want to hold him to his. I’d never treat a buyer that way. No decent person would. That pretty much sums it up.

Listen he PM me for a part didn't ask any questions if it was auto or manual which I admit I had no clue and if was asked I would have had looked into it further. it's not my fault but I did give him options that he asked for but never got back to me so I assumed he used it! it's not like he was attempting to get in contact with me and I didn't respond I am not that type of person

That's understandable he was offering 99 spec lights for sale which were in fact not! I was not representing a manual harness for sale is all I am saying. He didn't go the lengths to make sure he was purchasing the correct part which I understand and still was and am willing to work with him as a decent human being unlike many others who would say Tuff luck

In your own words from the texts you thought you were selling him a manual harness. You didn't, so you should refund him. It's not that big of a deal, mistakes happen all the time.

Yes I did say that even tho I did NOT represent this harness as manual or auto BUT out of honestly if he did ask me I would have assumed just like he assumed it was a manual harness this is why I agreed to work with him which I have done ! Thanks for all your input on this without knowing the facts or real story behind the sale.. have a good day all
