Just because he had a big enough heart to trust another member in need does not mean that he gave away this transmission. The money should have been paid, and how would JREED know if his excuses would have been taken to heart, as he never explained them to the man. JREED was wrong, he was trusted, and if he had a problem he should have discussed it rather than ignore it. I know this is an old thread, but I hate to see people taken advantage of.

 

He has recently contacted me and we are working this out.

Have faith that he is righting his wrongs.

He apologized and is taking care of the situation.

He has owed a fellow forum member money for a transmission that he bought more than 18 months ago, and has yet to make good on numerous promises, yet he's on here trying to buy and sell. Until further notice, this member is not allowed to conduct any such business on this forum. This will not change until he handles his business.

If he continues to contact anyone via PM concerning buying or selling anything, please PM me so that I can take any further action as required.

This is way outta hand, John, and you know it. Youve been shopping all over this forum for the entire time that you have owed this money. You posted WTB ads for SS oil lines, an oil cooler, a cat-back system, other exhaust parts.....and you have taken plenty of interest in things on up to someone's $1,800 engine for sale! And all the while, you keep putting this guy off on what you owe him. Enough is enough. If I catch you trying to buy or sell on here, you will simply be banned. I dont get it, youre looking to buy some high-dollar stuff, and you cant get this guy his money back?

I expect to see a definite plan within one week from today for you to have him paid in full. NO excuses, NO BS. Fix this. Now.

The OP mentioned he received a "small" good faith deposit...I'm assuming that was the remaining $10. Either way, I would just be happy at this point receiving anything back.

Jreed--you had better check yourself, and I mean FAST. You have NO business sending me multiple PM's whining and complaining that I took action because you failed after EIGHTEEN MONTHS to get this guy his cash. NONE. You knew you owed him this money, and yet you were actively shopping to buy other parts, including an $1800 engine, rather than pay him back. How in the WORLD can you possibly not see what youve done here and why I felt it necessary to act? It is detailed in this thread that on at least three other occasions you told him you were going to pay him back. On at least two of those, you made specific arrangements to do it within a certain amount of time. You didnt follow through on either of them. So why are you so pissed at me because I didnt take your word for it this time? THINK ABOUT THAT.....no one here is going to take your word a third time, and you wouldnt take someone's word like that either!

At this point, this is not open for you to debate it. You were wrong. You kept promising to make it right. you never did. But you always seemed to have money to shop for parts for YOUR car.....this is the one and only warning youre going to get to stop sending me pissed off PMs on this. If it continues, I'll simply ban you and you can have the time off to rethink the way you will do business here in the future. It sucks that it has to come down to attitudes like this, but you are going to follow the forum rules like everyone else is expected to, or you will not be here. End of discussion.
