Here's the short story and if I don't get my parts I'll write up the long one and send out a warrant to Ben and his roomate. Accepting a check for 2650 and not delivering is no joke.

He gave me a good package deal on some FD parts because he was going LS1. He sent some smaller parts via fedex and once I received those I mailed him a check for 2650 that was made out to his roomate that he said provided him w/ an lsx long block. Once he received the check he was going to ship the remainder of the parts. He PM'd me that the check arrived and the parts would ship that day or the next and he'd provide tracking info. He says the parts shipped Thurday (he's in IL) I should of received them Tuesday at the latest and I still have no parts and no tracking.

I've asked for tracking info several times to which he's responded that he'll provide it but has yet to do so. At 1st I tried calling but his phone was out of service so that of course raised an immediate red flag. He joked that his phone is in a million pieces (I wasn't laughing) but hasn't given me another # or bothered to call me.

I've spoken with Ben several times on the phone and he seemed like a good man and we even discussed when doing business it's better to under promise and over deliver however in this case Ben seems to be over promising or worse.

So post up that tracking and lets get this sorted out

I wont discuss what has been happening except to fritz which i PM'd him. but a personal matter of mine has arrose and pretty much turned my world upside down. that is all i need to post.. but this matter is being corrected to everyone that needs to know.

nope it was just me being dumb and not doign what i said id do on time.. i let my personal life run me down and i let go of all my obligations for a while cause i did something dumb in my personal life.. but alls well now and fritz and i are finishing up our deal as agreed upon.

 

Good to know. I am just glad you are taking responsibility for your actions. There are people still waiting on their goods or money from over a year ago.

 

Ben is not following through and is not willing to give me a call or give me his phone # so I can discuss how to rememdy this situation with him.

Finally I was lucky enough to have one of Ben's aquaintances send some parts at my expense so hopefully Ben will refund me.

There seems to be an uprising of poor sellers on this forum it's getting more and more difficult to conduct business in an orderly fashion but I have a feeling that Ben will do the right thing.

fritz just an update ben did not clean the garage up, go figure. since he didnt come down he did not get your tranny or drive shaft or starter so if you want to set something up for shipping let me know

 

Wait wait wait. The seller of these parts is not even shipping them out himself? I believe that in the future heidihi will not be allowed to sell parts on the forum from now on because of this ordeal. I will have to look further into his status on this forum though before I come to a decision.


Also, Fritz runs into alot of problems because he does alot of transactions, it is an expected thing to run into at times. Everybody is not always 100% honest in their life, and to do it over car parts is rather stupid.

You can send me a payment for 1k or send the parts it's your choice.

If I don't here from you in the next 2 days I'll have Steve Ship the Trans when he has time at my expense. Because you neglected to ship any of the parts in his garage he was nice enough to send those to me which cost me 218.18 for Steve's time and packaging expenses. The cost of shipping these parts was probably 250 so I'm now out an additional 468.18.

If you don't take some sort of action in the next two weeks I'll investigate what sort of legal action I can take against you and Aaron.

Ben the above list are just some possible options a person who's a victim of internet crime is able to take.

Because I manage a business and go to the local court house once a quarter or so to file warrants if I decide to do something I'll likely take this route: http://www.courts.state.va.us/pamphl...ll_claims.html

To file a local report, I only need a canceled check, internet text, your address, name etc.... and I'll send out a warrant and you and Aaron can either fly to VA to show up in court or not show up and be on someones want list.

For all I know it's crime to envolve someone else in a crime and Aaron may have some sort criminal complaint against you as well but I'm no attorney. I do know what you're doing and have done is NOT COOL

Just an update ben still has not cleaned the garage and still has not picked up the rest of fritz's parts.

im talking to a buddy that might be interested in the tranny hopefully he buys it so fritz doesnt have to pay twice to ship it.

i also offered to deliver the tranny to my buddy he lives about a hour away from me

it's really sad to see this have to come to this but i am a firm believer in what goes around comes around and hopefully ben gets his and gets it hard.

 

Fritz, I'm sure you don't want to hear this after the fact, but Ben seemed like a shady character when I first started talking to him. I warned my buddy Charlie and anyone else that asked me about him. He kept lying to me outright apparently thinking I wouldn't realize his story kept constantly changing. In the end, I'm extremelly happy I decided to avoid him and at the same time upset/saddened that you weren't able to do so. I hope everything works out though.
