Well hopefully, a new hood is on its way to notveryhappyjack, post haste...

It's rather disconcerting that the only pic to date is a destroyed product pic.

DO you use the UV blocking Clear coat? I have read that Carbonfiber is not UV resistant and will break down quickly under UV exposure. Can you post up the product that you use to clear coat your items..

Yes, clearcoat is applied to all C/F parts unless they are to be painted.
If anyone is going to do high speed for any decent period of time hood pins are a worthy edition to any C/F or F/glass hood.

Please post the info/specs on the UV resistant clear you are using. I have had CF parts before that were "clear coated" and they turned yellow within a year due to UV exposure.. What clear do you use?

I will have to check with the paint shop as to the brand etc used for clearcoating. The carbon cowel panel and headlight covers on my car have been on there for two years or so and still look great so there is no reason other parts will be any different

Almost HALF A YEAR LATER and NO ONE has a pic of ANY of these carbon fibre creations on their car??? How is that freakin' possible?! Is there NO ONE amongst the 'legions' of FM's customers here in the USA that even knows how to use a digital camera or post a pic on this Forum? I find that an incredible possibility especially if they're working on their own cars. Let's see how many more months go by this time before we finally see something has actually been shipped and installed on a US car.

A few hoods have been made and shipped in the last few weeks (only one to a forum member) and another forum member has just ordered another one as well.
It's still entirely up to the individuals if they want to post pics or not.....

so, do the new hoods need hood pins or will they stay down with the stock latch? whats the status on the vented hoods? have you thought more about an east coast distributor? maybe respeed?

how many of youre new hoods have you sold to the states? can you get the customers to post pics of them for us.

New hoods are fine for street use without pins, I would still recommend adding some for race use.
Witht the vented hoods- had to get some extra work done to the front edge of the steel hood should have it back from paint shop again this week and molded ASAP

I'm still alive guys.
Wasn't impressed with the rate of vendor fees on here

You guys have no idea how much I lost out on making moulds (2 sets) and sending them to CA only to have almost none of the promised buyers actually buying

I can still do doorpanels

Sorry about the fee format here, FM, it really works against you since you're so far away.

Everything I've seen in the pics has been outstanding but the freakin' shipping costs....suppose you don't want to move to the Land of Milk and honey, do you? Or did you already?
