Guy is a major flake, he agreed to a deal.

Stopped contacting me

Then asked how much cash I wanted on top of one Rx7 instead of the 2

Then claimed one was wrecked.

Now he says he is keeping one, and gave the other away.

Steer clear of this one.

This guy would not take an FC that is almost IMMACULATE + 800 bucks cash and an S5 longblock for a 1991 Isuzu pickup that is nothing but a work truck

And honestly after being jerked around on what you wanted to trade for, why would it bother you?

First a 91 FC for two FC's, then a different FC, then an Isuzu pickup, then you tried to offer me an FC that you said "would definitely be a project vehicle"

So don't talk about steering clear of anyone.

Almost meaning...... no title, the doghouse is faded worse than the rest of the car, and it doesn't run. + a blown short block, and tow them back, + $800 for a $2500 truck......... Right.

I offered the 91, then you disclosed more things wrong with the cars.......and then I found out the one that had a title, had a salvage title.

So I asked if there was anything else you wanted...... you said a truck. I found a truck that you listed.

Then after you decided to keep one, it amazingly was backed into, and you could not produce pics.

When I asked for your phone number to hammer things out........ oh, I decided to keep one and gave the other to my cousin.

For anyone that wants the emails, I have both mine and his.

As I said in the e-mails

I have no clue why it won't start, it ran fine, I drove the car 70 miles back to my house from where I bought it, drove it every day, then it stalled in front of my house and would not start back

I have a 1988 Dodge Ram 50 with 140k miles on it and its in better shape than the Izuzu and I would not pay

And I'm not going to stand in ******* rain, sleet and snow to get a picture to appease someone who is jerking me around

I told the gods honest truth

You can believe me or not

I was asking 800 for the cars a piece, so why would 1 of the cars plus 800 dollars be worse?

Considering the one that you were bitching about not getting had a salvage title

WHICH I did not know that it had. I was told that the title was clean and had belonged to one other owner.

Jerking you around? right I tried to do my best to get you what you wanted.

Keep in mind, the truck was not mine, you said you wanted it, and guess what, its mine now.

I have the email from you stating "you have a deal"

the timing looks fishy

you, I think I want to keep the 89..... would you take money and the 90

me, no, I want both cars.

you, oh we have a problem the 89 is wrecked now, but I'll give you 800 and the car with no title.

odd how it got backed into the next email after you wanted to keep it.

post up pics of it wrecked, and you might have some ground to stand on.

if not, I'll be leaning more in posting this in the bad sellers area.

What would the problem be though if I am offering you the same amount as I was asking for the cars?

I am about to have an engine rebuilt and put in the 90 model, and I am acquiring a title.

So why don't you just let the thread die? The cars aren't for sale now, so no one has to steer clear of me.

The point is, you said we had a deal, but instead of manning up, and going through with it, or at least owning up to that you changed your mind. You stopped communicating, or came up with excuses.

The only time you actually owned up, was when I said I needed your phone number so I could get this ironed out.

I told the guy I would take the truck, because YOU said you wanted it, and we had a deal.

So Now I have this truck I have no need for. This makes you a poor seller.

Your idea of not communicating is me not replying instantly to an e-mail.

I will get you pics of the wrecked car when I can get to my cousins house.

I work from 11 to 7:30 and I also drive a 60 mile round trip to work.

Its not exactly as simple as showing up at someones house and randomly taking pictures of the car you gave them.

And technically I can't be a poor seller because I didn't sell you anything.

Technically? Is this a for sale thread? Were you selling something? Did you not agree to a deal?

You can't even say "Sorry Dude, I F*cked up" you still keep coming up with excuses.

I told you what happened.

As I posted in the other thread.

DEALS FALL THROUGH OFTEN!

Just because a deal falls through, doesn't mean that you go and start insulting someone.

I told you what happened, thats the best I can do.

I have had many deals fall through for various reasons, and I have never insulted or made a big deal out of it. I just accept what happened and go on about it.

You would be making money selling the truck as you stated you could for $2500, but instead you chose to make a big deal out of two cars I was asking $800 a piece for.

More like you said "You have a deal" I asked if you were sure, you said yes, I went and got the truck. You come up with a BS excuse, and back out.

Like I said, you are a flakey seller, and people should know.

Now its documented, people can add to it..... when you pull stuff like this in the future.

I have only sold to one other person in the past, and That was in... 2005?

So there will be no posting ups of me being a good seller.

But there will be no one posting anything bad either.

Jarrod,

I understand, but you have to see it from the buyer's point of view. They want to know who they are buying from, and so far you have had one flaky transaction. Not a bad transaction to where parts were not delivered, etc.

Is there anyone that is local to you that you have sold parts to that are on this forum? I know that you post in the Midwest section, and Kentucky has alot of RX7 owners.

I am trying to help you out here, I am not downing you or trying to get you into bad water.

I am confused... did someone pay/trade something and then not get anything in return... or is this a deal that just never came to fruition

No, the only person I have made anything to is my cousin, which I gave him the hit FC. He is not a forum member.

It is a deal that fell through, but if you read correctly, somebody went out of their way to make a deal when the seller said "You have a deal" and then the seller backed out of the deal.

Seller - bunny bunny..... Stated he wanted a small truck, and would trade both cars he had for a running and driving truck.

I sent him pics of the truck..... he said "you have a deal, when can we do this?"

I told him the weekend of the 15th of Feb.

I got the truck.

He then backed out of the deal and left me with a truck I have no use for.

Reason he backed out was, he found a way to get a title for one car that didn't have one, and he "claims" the other car was backed into, but cannot produce pictures of it.

He also could have avoided this thread, as I stated, all he had to do was just own up to it, and apologize. Yet, he continues to make excuses, and call me names.

So this thread was posted. Because people like this need to be called out, or they will continue to say "We have a deal" and then back out, when they find a better deal, or get cold feet.

As I told him, in my state, a verbal agreement is considered as solid as a written one.

I am sure in the future more people will ad to this.

I never called him any names, I am not one for calling someone names. I see no reason to apologize, when I gave an equal offer for the car, he flatly said he could sell the truck for $2500 dollars, and that was the end.

But when his deal fell through on selling the truck for $2500 he once again contacted me asking to trade.

I did not get cold feet, nor did I back out. The car was hit, and just because, as I stated, I can not just walk onto private property and take pictures of a car. The car is seated at my cousins house, who works at 6 in the morning, and I work from 11-7:30 and drive 30 miles to work.

That leaves little time to take a picture, just to avoid a bad guy thread on me.

IndyRxtc first stated he wanted to trade my two vehicles for a theft recovery FC.

He then wanted to keep the door panels and window pieces because they were power and mine weren't.

Then said he had another FC he would trade as he didn't want to trade the one he first stated.

Then said he could get me something else, asked what I liked, I said I like small trucks.

He then said he could get an Isuzu Pup, I considered it a deal.

The titled FC was backed into by a very large Chevy van and there was considerable damage, so I offered to compensate for the damaged car with an Identical amount of cash as to the price I was asking for the car.

He said no and stated he could sell the truck for $2500.

So I dropped the deal, and considered it a deal that fell through.

He posts up in the thread I had started while trying to sell the vehicles, and insults me by calling me a "flake"

Although in my opinion, I have enough of a case to start a BG thread on IndyRxtc, I will not do so.

I do not feel a BG thread is needed when a deal falls through.

I'd say consider it traded, when can we do this?

After I get the truck he sends me this....

I'll get those up as soon as I get home, but I have a question. Would you be interested in the one without the title, a spare S5 engine and 600 bucks?

I've been thinking and I would maybe like to keep the one with the title. But if you wouldn't be interested I'd understand.

Thats when you can tell he's getting cold feet.

Then when I tell him no, we had a deal for the 2 cars, but if he still wants a Rx7, I could bring him down a roller, and he could keep his spare engine, he sends me this.

we have a bit of a problem, the car is sitting at my friends garage, and they were taking a Chevy van to the junk yard and it broke the straps on the car dolly and rolled down the drive and hit the RX7. it destroyed the driver fender roughed up the front bumper, bent the hood and damaged the headlight assembly

i didn't get under the car to see if there was any sort of damage underneath

I told him, I could still do the deal, but he'd have to get pics of the damage, and I asked him for his phone number.....

......several days passed, so I sent him another email asking what was up, because I had everything lined up to come down and get them, and I needed his phone number to talk to him....

this is where he says....

Subject: RE: Rx7's

I gave the wrecked FC to my cousin, and I found a way to get a title on the other.

So he still doesn't get that he did anything wrong.

He just figured he could agree to a deal, and then when he changed his mind, that he could just stop responding, and no big deal.

He could have done worse, and just not said anything.

As far as selling the truck for $2500, I told him I had a buyer for the truck that wanted to do it on payments. I said I didn't want the truck, and wanted the Rx7's he continued as if the deal was on, even told me his days off.

The timing on his emails as far as keeping one, and the other one getting wrecked is just too hard to believe. What ads to it is the fact that he is coming up with excuse after excuse to get the pics.

The "I can't just go on private property to get the pics" kills me, especially when this car is supposed to be at his relatives.

What kills me is that he finds time daily to respond to this thread, but couldn't even get emails out this regular with the deal.

He claims to work so many hours, yet religiously responds to this thread, and the other.

Yes it is at a relatives, but I do not live in a city, I live in a rather secluded area and people, even relatives, don't appreciate it when people are walking around on private property taking pictures.

That is a bit of common sense, because, if a neighbor were to report that someone is on private property, that is called trespassing.

And I would be arrested, and if i were arrested, I would lose my job.

Being arrested and losing my job is a bit more important than than pleasing you.

Also, since I am defending myself, are you not going to attempt to defend yourself, as it seems I'm not the only "Flakey" one here.
