Thumbs up Standing On Two Legs

Unfortentially i don't have internet access at work to post everywhere omar is, and I won't. I'm right here and im as honest as could be standing on two legs. I said some ****, and sent some pm's and flew off the handle with the situation no justification, or excuses for my rude customer service.

But like I mentioned before im cool with the whole situation. I'm going to check my old house in the pile and retreive the skid plate, return it back to him/you/omar this "WEEKEND".

Thanks nairdalavodnas for sticking up for me, but don't feed into his threads and post it only makes the situation worse.

Good to see some progress. This is a valuable experience for both parties.

1. Don't pay upfront for work
2. Don't overload yourself with work when you have other obligations to fulfill.

+1 on that omar is a really stand up good guy he means well and i totally understand where he is coming from and how he feels. I just said some things that i should not have said, and in either case i was still going to get his skid plate and either deliever it or ship it. I wasn't going to keep it.

I don't recall you mentioning you being cool with the situation. Let me go and listen to your message again. But if that is your way of saying you're sorry then apology accepted.

It's not over until I receive a tracking and confirmation that it has been sent. It will be better if you post the confirmation and tracking number here; you send mixed message over the phone and in PM messages. Then I will see what the condition of the part is when it arrives. Like I said before, no cracks and in one piece just like it was when you removed it. Then the issue will be resolved. Thanks.

In answering your message above no matter how many bad comments are said about me, and the shop my brother are trying to create working out of my mothers garage im still cool with this and everyone's thoughts and opinons, and everything that happens here on out.

c'mon guys, doing the right thing can only help business. People may have the technical skills to open a business, but without the customer service, the business won't last long.

apparently teddy will be trying to rectify the situation and personally delivering the part that was "lost"

as for me i was in the process of doing business with 12:31 but i ran into some bad luck...
1. trailer bed was accidently dropped on my front end
2. after 3 weeks of waiting no work was done to my car and i was told they could no longer work on my car
3.damaged my front and rear strut bars
4.damaged my interior but placing my old used parts inside the car (i have grey capreting and white dove seats)
5.forgot almost 2k in parts when they dropped it off at the shop where my motor was to be built and one hour late and without my money

although all these things were not promising and very frustrating and equally challenging to get my point across i WILL give credit to chris and teddy for what they have been doin to rectify the mistakes that were made.

1.are willingly goin to pay in full for the damage done to the interior and exterior of the car in addition to the damage to the strut bars
2.personally dropped off my money and the remaining parts the NEXT day
3.offerred to do the work that was contracted for no charge once they figure out some personal agendas they are dealing with

although my experience wasnt the best and i wouldve like it to have turned out differently theyve been very apologetic about the situation and mistakes were made but SO FAR they have SAID they will do everything in their power to make things right

**** happens thats life, and they are doing what they can for me to make things right....when things go wrong theres really not much you can ask for

i will update if/when these things are completed...apparently my pistons are ready to go and the motor should be done soon where 1231 can then fix the mistakes that were made...i just spoke to teddy last night to clarify all this and with chris just minutes ago....

im not giving them credit for anything yet, merely the benefit of the doubt that they are at least attempting to do so...most people on this thread think that they just blew off their customers

obvisouly they effed up on many occasions with various people but with me there attempting to fix their mistakes....they havent yet but thats on me since i took my car directly to the shop building my motor as my pistons just came in and i wanted to get it over with

IF they dont step up to what they have promised to do then i will say that and if they do i will also post.

writing this to simply say that, at least with me, they are making right with their mistakes

oh and the strut bars....just some scratches on the powdercoating but i dont want that spray painted i want the coating redone as it was not in that condition when i gave it to them

this has to be the most clueless response ever. Like the president?? No, I dont think so. Lots of people didnt even vote for the president, but he gets elected by the majority, so it's hardly the same as a person bringing their hard earned cash and their car to have someone do what they promised. What is the matter with you?? THE SHOP in this case made the promises, and took this dude's cash. They did not keep one single promise through this whole deal.

--car is "90% complete" when they barely got started?!?
--kept needing more and more money above what was quoted to the customer
--damage to the customer-supplied parts
--using the wrong parts even though they agreed to use the right ones, and charged the guy for the right ones
--timetable is WAY screwed up, how do you go from "it will be done in three days" to keeping it for six weeks and still not even being halfway through??

This whole deal is a mess, and I seriously hope that the make it right.

Hey what up Guys, i have been currently working out things with omar so were on the right track to making things right. Im trying to get the skid plate back to him before the end of this weekend.

Yes this all went bad and it is all my fault and there is no excuse for my actions and the way i handled the situation. I have never acted in this manner or responded to any customer this way in any way shape or form.

Again im sorry for my actions omar and to the rest of the people that i have dealt with on this forum. i will post again as progress moves forward and the skid plate is returned to him this weekend or even sooner.

As long as I get my part back I am willing to forgive and forget. Teddy I don't know what was going on, but I accept your appology. I appreciate you making things right. I will post the conclusions when I he delievers.

I will send you a pic soon. I am sure that the pic you sent is not my part. Ok cool deal, pic on it's way.

Teddy, I dont know you, but I do give you props for being honest enough to take responsibility. Good to see that, we dont see very much of it around these parts. Here's hoping that you guys can come to a resolution on this one.

Teddy, I'm glad you all are working things out. You seemed like a great guy when I dealt with you, which is why I was so shocked by the details of this thread and your inappropriate messages. Hopefully, for everyone's sake, this comes to a conclusion soon and you go back to being the GREAT seller that I had an opportunity to conduct business with

I don't really post in this section much but this thread erked me since it pertains to small business and I run my own. I have to say props to Teddy for manning up and apologizing, taking responsibility and moving towards a resolution.

But to this guy:

What goes around comes around and if this is how you address a problem then maybe u had it coming, and if it wasn’t the guys from 12:31 it would be someone else.. who knows if u would ever be happy with anyones work.

Aside from what this SALTY A$$ DUDE has to say, I know for a fact that Chris and Teddy do awesome work and have quite a few very satisfied customers.

Like everyone else in this world they have a lot on their plate, im sure. But I have seen these guys work. even till all hours in the morning, ive actually seen the sun rise in their garage and they just keep going, making time, staying focused, and getting the job done right. They do what most people don’t- sacrifice.

I’ve learned a lot from them and will always bring my car back to them for even the most routine maintenance, oil changes, brakes or any of that. They have been flexible, understanding, and easy to deal with. They are both had workers who juggle full time jobs, college, and their clientele. Their welds are clean, their turn around time is quick, their satisfaction level from everybody ive seen including myself is high. So they work out of a home garage- so what, that means they are comfortable in their work environment and they have absolutely no overhead- what they charge for the job is what the job is worth. To be honest, these guys could be charging alot more, but they don’t. They are good guys who want to do good work for good people and keep their customers coming back.
I just have to say puh-lease.

OK - they have done good work, sure I'm quite sure many members have seen the pics of the decent welding and the shiny parts. But when you **** someone over (3 days into six weeks, added costs, wrong parts entirely, the car is missing parts when you get it back and **** gets broken along the way) what else are you supposed to do? Simply say, well I got screwed better not say anything in case I actually deserved it? I don't think so.

Karma is a two way street - did it ever cross your mind that perhaps 12:31 was in need of a little karma bitch slap? Obviously not.

Secondly, what damage has been done? Everyone is human and no matter how quality of a shop they'll always make mistakes - it happens to me too. Key here is the fact that ITS GETTING RESOLVED and this thread shows that. So again - what harm has been done? None at all. In fact less then what would have been done had the OP - NOT - made the thread since he may not have gotten his undertray back.

So relax and stop preaching about how people shouldn't complain when they get screwed.............

from here let Omar and Teddy work it out and let the rest of us know how it turned out, there is no point in bashing anyone at this point in time until progress has been made one way or another.

as a side note this sub forum is here to let the community know of good or bad experiences so other people know, it isn't a personal bitch forum but also here to serve as warning against bad service and threads like this can serve as a learning tool for those who are giving bad service as it hurts their business. personally if i see no threads in here with my name on them i am happy because 9 out of 10 customers will not say anything about positive experiences but 9 out of 10 will post about negative ones.

He is currently looking for my part. At this point he jsut needs to know what it looks like. Hrd for me to send a pic since I don't have one. But here is pic my friend took on his camera phone oh his tray. (nice enough to let me borrow it for Round 3) That's what is going on right now. I'll keep this thread updated.

Picture of a FC undertray.

I paid for the mangling. They said I had to since they welded things to it. The sideskirts where damaged but I never said anything about that. I just cut my losses and went on with my business. I also had to pay for three 2inch U-bends, at 41 dollars each. All this stuff is sitting in my trunk. Dunno what to do with it. But whatever I just want my part back.

Side note, I did not know they were 2 inch when they gave them to me that night. It was dark and we were discussing a lot of things. It never occurred to me to check the diameter. I just threw all the stuff in the trunk at the same time. I guess I will try to sell them to someone who needs 2" pipes. I had let all of this go but I posted it up because of the phone calls and messages I received.

But to answer your question that is how that deal ended.

Like I said, I just want my undertray back, and mostly not to be treated like I was.
