12:31 Worst peopl ever... Teddyrx2 = super bad guy

I know this is long, but if your thinking of getting work done by these people, please read this 1st.

No excuse for not doing the work that one is contracted to do. Even after more time is allotted then give you a hard time. Please be careful and know that you are always entitled to call any shop that is working on or has your car to ask any and as many questions as you like. You should not pay a shop up front and that was my biggest mistake. Always make sure you drop off a car in a shop not a house.

OK...

12:31 or TeddyRX2 messaged me about my IC pipes. Said he could do it at his shop. Well he has no shop as it turns out and lives with his mommy. Said he had his own trailer and it's no big deal for him to drive here. He shows up with a U-Haul. He's telling me to keep coming up the u-haul and it cracks my side skirts. Guess he's not the best spotter. I should have called it quits after all this already.

The deal: They pick up the car to do a 2.5' pipe kit in 3 days. I supply the IC I tell Chris to mount it up front I show him when he picks up the car what I want. (I still have the all the PM's he sent) I told him, I need it back before the weekend because I have a drift event to go to, and if they need more time come get it after and you can have 4 weeks to work on it. He said no problem it will only take 3 days so they will take it now and have it back Thursday, Friday at the latest. Now if you have other cars ahead of this one why would you take it? Oh yeah because they wanted the money up front all in cash. Now what kind of shop asks for this. Anyway, I called (yeah I CALLED they didn't call me) on Wed, and to see how far along it was coming. Well their welder broke or something or other and going to get a new one in a few days. They will need to bring it back because I need it for the weekend. Now how am I at fault for their welder breaking and them not being able to finish the job? I mean not anyone's fault but it sure as hell isn't mine.

They bring it back Sat. morning, I talk to Teddy he said he will pick it up again Sunday night. Sunday night comes and I haven't heard from him, so I call. "oh we are going to pick it up next weekend because we are dropping off another car near by and we can kill 2 birds with one stone". Umm... ok fine. (dropping off a gold car) Next week they pick it up, it will be done soon and they will bring it next weekend. Chris says he has a new welder now he can do Alum. Cool, so I pay extra for that. I don't hear from them so I call, cars looking good. He's going to need another week cause the Alum pipes he ordered are on back order. But the batt gets relocated on Friday to keep things moving along. Week 3, no pipes, Teddy is getting upset, why do I call so much. Well their supplier who ever they are, I don't know has them on back order. If I want they can order the more expensive pipes from Burns steal. Ok fine, but wait, I have to send them $60.00 dollars more because they have no money to buy the pipes, I can't pay after. WTF, he already had to borrow money from his mom to pick up the car. Money sent to moms account cause his is paypal is "broken". Pipes are never ordered and instead picked up next wed. way after the money was sent even though I was told he ordered them. So I called talked to Chris. I had argument with him on a Wed. about what the hold up was. Why he said pipes where ordered, car was almost done and come to find out oh I need 2 more weeks. what happen to 3 days? He has no time and barley got the pipes. He has school blah blah. But he's a shop who takes cars and money up front. Ok enough of all this bull, the car comes back this weekend finished, or not with a full refund. Chris agree's and also agree's no more lies and BS, settled. Well I call Friday night to ask since they won't call me, I wonder why? Can't bring it he needs 1 more pipe. He thought he had enough but turns out he needs one more. For guys who told me to stop trippin cause they have done tons of piping kits but don't know how many pipes they need and needs more time to buy 1 more, well I wonder how many they have really done. Not to many! Order it on Monday but car is almost done just needs the last pipe and it's finished. ****, ok what can I do he did all that work already. Ok get the pipe I'll wait another week. They need a whole other week cause they have school and have a gold to finish that was there before me. WTF another gold car? Before me? I been there a long time. # day pipe job has turned into a nightmare. Why take my car if you can't work on it? Ok umm...this is week... well I lost count but now I call on Friday, so what time are you bringing the car? It's not done yet but it will be done by Sunday and they will tow it down. Ok great. So Sunday night I get a message, "Trailer issue" but good news car is 90% done. They knew all week they had to bring the car so what gives? Still not done? I call to see what's up. Well Teddy turns into a big fat-***. (well he was aready fat) Says "f this guy tell him to come get his car and don't give him ****". Umm ok... I can hear him over the phone what an idiot. So he says he can't pull a trailer out of his ***. Well this is bullshit, fine you know what tough guy over the phone, I will come and pick it up cause I don't want to deal with this any more. They say that is fine, come pick it up but it's not done. Well what has been done to the car? " NOTHING" but they did manage to mangle up my IC endtanks. Why are we arguing about a trailer if the car isn't even done yet? What the hell is wrong with these people. They give me trailer bullshit to get more time to finish the car that is why. So I drive from Van Nuys to the edge of freaking SD. They cut the hood support and that is f-in it. They call that 90% done. All this time OMG. So my money? Oh well they spent it on gas cause I had to have the car back. They said I really wanted it really bad to go drifting. WTF they knew before they took it. Why is this an issue? It ahs been much longer and still not done. I take my mangeld IC with a huge hole in it. What the hell am I supposed to do with that? He hands me my old end tanks. Then they give me 3 u-bends. Three 2inch U-bends. Why are they 2 inches you ask, yeah that's what I said. Why can I only get some of my money back? Because they don't have time to work on my car and they have other cars to work on too and they spent it on gas and on the welder gas and on sheet metal to mangle my IC and I have to buy 2 inch pipes. I didn't know I had to pay for 2 birds with 1 stone? Plus it sure as hell isn't not my fault they didn't finish it. Then why take my money and my car and tell me 3 days? So whatever, I try to work something out with their mom, I have to leave with no money and their mom has to wait till she gets paid Monday. So to recap, my IC is jacked I have to take the 3 U-bends that "I PAYED" for that I can't use cause they are 2' and not 2.5'. Broke my side skirts. Lost a lot-lot of time. Got yelled at and cussed at by idiots and had to drive all the way to SD too. Screwed me but fine whatever it's over forget it. Oh and told my GF she wasn't a part of this but his mommy can takl all she wants. LOL get serious.

So why am I pissed and writing this long *** thread now? Well they forgot to put my underbelly pan back on. Why did they take it off? Cause these goons tried to run piping up over a stock located radiator. How or why? Ask them. Well after that didn't work time to flip it and go under. Oh sure run piping under the car so I can rip off the whole system when I go down a drive way and block all the air to the radiator. Idiots! Glad they didn't do it cause I would have been off way worse. Would have been the worst fabricated/engineered kit ever. So a while back I pm him. "Dude you have my pan can I have it back"? Well he says he's not going to mail it to me. Come pick it up. Ok so I try to find some friends who are going to SD so I don't have to make another trip. Well none are going so I sent him a PM today saying I will come get it. Call Chris up after I sent the message. He says " Oh umm... we just moved so it's in storage or in a box somewhere and I don't know where. I will look for it and call you when I find it". WTF, in a box? It sounds bad to me, lies, lies more lies. So I get a message from the man himself Teddy, that's right, he threw it away. It's in a huge pile of garbage that umm I guess they had at home, and cleaned out and he isn't going to look for it in garbage that he has been living in all this time. He's not going to go through garbage. Ok, what the hell. He said don't call his brother and don't send him messages.

So, they took it off, did not put it back on, did not want to send it to me, and now I can't pick it up cause they threw it away and don't call or write them. Great bunch of guys, and all this forum hype they are trying to build for themselves is all made by them. They suck at what they try to do. They have the worst customer service. They will keep your car way over the work time and take your money up front. They will even keep some of your parts for FREE. I wonder why they didn't post about this in their "I am a bad *** fabricator thread"? They don't want to toot their own horn about how good they are I guess. Oh wait they try to do that all day. They said I called to much and didn't let them work. Once I called they where at a Padres game not working on the car.

So I guess I can't have my under tray back. They kept it at no extra charge and buried it under a pile of garbage. I wonder what they where thinking when they buried it? Hmm this guy wanted this back, hahaha I'll show him. Yup must be what they thought.

Wow that was kind of hard to read.

In the future, form out an idea and then write...don't write exactly what you are thinking at the time. Makes it really difficult to understand.

Cliff notes:

- The shop said it would take them 3 days to do some intercooler piping
- Car ended up being at their shop for somewhere between 4 and 6 weeks
- Intercooler piping was never completed
- Intercooler was damaged to the point where it may not be salvageable
- Undertray was removed and thrown away
- Some of the piping was the wrong size (2" instead of 3")
- Shop owner/employees were rude and unwilling to correct the situation
- Shop only accepted cash up front before work was even started

I can't speak for their work, but I have dealt with TeddyRX2 before and my transaction went flawlessly. He was very easy to deal with, always responded to my PM's very quickly and I was overall very happy with how things turned out.

He came across as a very nice guy, but obviously I didn't deal with him as extensively as you did. I hope everything works out.

Who the heck would charge you upfront? I work with a bunch of guys, and we do some fabbing, but we never do business with anyone, because of this exact reason. School + this = Unhappy customers.

I feel you man, not exactly the same situation but let's just say if you stinge on labor and go to less reputable people, you pay for what you get. And in this case, it seems like unfinished labor, theft, and bad customer service. And let's be honest, I'm sure their prices were very enticing for some piping work for you to even consider letting them keep your baby knowing they were complete strangers. I've never dealt with them just stating that something similar happened to me.

On the flip side, I'm sure the opposing party has a rebuttal, so we should see what they say as well. But there should be no excuse for them throwing away your undertray.

well this doesn't sound like the ideal way to start out a "business" Teddy. I've dealt with Omar and i know he wouldn't be exxaggerating over any of this as he has always been straight up with me.

#1 point is you treat people how you would want to be treated, even as a business owner this is the #1 rule or eventually you will have no customers.

# 1 rule as a customer is NEVER pay for full up front.. i may charge some costs to cover parts but never do i ask for full payment up front, sometimes i have customers who insist on it and i always tell them it is not necessary and fully up to them. a shop owner who asks for full payment up front means they are working with your money, not their own so if anything happens during the job, even out of their control then your money is gone and they will be trying to scrounge up to make up for that lost ground and that generally takes time such as this situation turned into.

#2 is honesty, people are not as stupid as you would like to think so treat them with an ounce of respect and they will show you the same.

Thanks for the cliff notes. I just had so much to write I didn't know where to begin. And that is the short version, haha. I left out all the non-sense inbetween. New message I got today. He stole my underbelly pan and it's my fault casue he got caught.

got bigger fish to fry then listen to your bitch *** complain you little bitch. And just to let you know you had the car for a month after you took it, so it's something you should have noticed when you were down here putting on your bumper or when you got home. It was honest mistake so take that how ever you want.

and about the undertray, it is still considered theft if you keep a part of a customers car and you are responsible for it unless otherwise noted and signed off by the customer prior to pickup or at dropoff of the vehicle.

sure it's just a piece of plastic but not something you find in wrecking yards much anymore.

on a side note, a sincere apology can go a long ways.

They don't have squat. When I was 1st approached by them I was under the impression they had a shop. 12:31 Motorsports located in SD. Sent me a thread with 12:31 stickers on cars. All BS. And since they picked up the car I never saw a shop either. I was told they had their own trailer as well. Can we buy u-hauls? Mostly my fault, I should have done a little more research and asked for a shop number and all that good stuff. Live and learn.

Dear Teddy,

If you ever read this, I will be looking for my under tray pan in the mail. And no cracks. If it's broken then you owe me a new because it wasn't broken before. Cleaned off as well. I don't want it after it has been sitting under a pile of your garbage. Thanks.

That's ok I'll find one someday, haha thanks.

I like how they knew they had it but it's my fault cause I didn't stand there (with everything else going on) and go hmm... WAIT!.!.! Let me look under the car, ah-ha... just as I thought. My Spidey senses never let me down. Where is my underbelly pan and why did you remove it sir. We played guess what part I kept from your car and I lost.

I didn't know he had it. But he knew this whole time and didn't say a word.

Check it out. Back when my car looked good to him, now it's just junk.

Not their trailer and it doesn't matter because this is what they picked my car up with and brought it back the 1st time. How can having their own trailer be a bargaining chip then they bring a U-Haul. Twice!
