rotaryshack--do not send them money!!!
well he took a while to finish my car. which was the down side of all of it besides that he is a very knowledgeable when it comes to carbs. He did a rebuild/streetport on my 2nd gen. Since he took so long and I missed a track event he deducted it from the bill and did some things for free since he took so long such as free installation on the exhaust, free tune, re jetted my carb and gave me extra fuel jets to play with and a few other things i can't remember. just make sure if you're going to him you're not in a rush. i don't know what else to say. i call him every time i have a question.

Robert from Rotaryshack is a great guy and very, very knowledgeable in just about every area of the rotary engine and does 99% of the work himself so sometimes he gets a little backed up,just give him a little time and he'll take of you.

Well i just ordered a short shift and "sent" payment. So we'll see my feedback here as well. I know a friend who dealt with Robert on some parts in the past, shipping was slow but quality was top notch. Sooo, do you want it fast or want it right? There's still snow on the ground here so I chose to get it right.

check your pm's robs running a shop too so he gets busy..
with all the special shipping requests i think you can wait a little bit, dont you think? i cant believe what you asked rob to do, but he is going to oblige your requests. not to mention the out of U.S. orders need to be brought in the post office, wait in the long line, customs forms filled out etc, its not a simple drop ship. .thank you

Please do not provide false information, it's really unnecessary. Your money order was received on April 7th, which was 2 weeks ago. They money order was deposited on April 8th and did not clear until April 20th. We would never ship out a product until the product is paid for, that is simple business standards unless stated otherwise. In terms of your statement about myself not replying to your PM's for 3 weeks, that is complete BS and uncalled for. I've been responding to your PM's since even before April and have every single on in my PM box to prove it so don't make false accusations. You are the only person who has had any issues with waiting for his shifter out of all 30 buyers and you really need to be patient considering the following:
1. You money order took 12 days to clear, not our fault.
2. You put extensive requests for us when we ship out your shifter.
3. I'm not sure if you realize the process but shipping a product to Canada through USPS isn't a simple walk in a drop off. We need to stand in line, fill out forms and make sure it's done right for the buyers consent.
There were other people who bought shifters from Canada who had to wait just as long or maybe a little bit less and had no complaints, you could learn a thing or two from them.

1. no comment, you know how i feel there
2. I know, all I asked for was communication on when it was going to be shipped and confirmation. Just say you're busy and it'll be out by friday, I would've been okay with that!
3. Point well taken, even my builder has to delegate priorities. If my engine was on the bench and promised for today I wouldn't want to hear that my builder had to **** around at the post office shipping something.
You last comment, hmmmmm, just had to toss out insult didn't ya...you could have left out the last sentence and received a simple apology.

He currently has 9 cars at his shop that he is trying to work on as well as take care of all the sales he does on the internet or here on the forum and that is what I have been assisting him with. People need to keep in mind (especially madazfiend) that when you place an order it is going to take some time to get it all squared away and shipped out to you, but what we can guarantee is that the quality of the product will be top notch and you will always be able to speak with Robert (when he has time) with any technical questions.
If I could, I would have shipped out your short shifter myself but unfortunately I work from 9am - 6pm monday to friday and don't have the time to do it. Robert has been extremely busy this week and is trying to get to USPS to get it done which like we all know involves waiting in line and filling out paper work. You will receive your short shifter and we hope that the wait was worth it.
@ Madazfiend: I was under the impression that the intake kit was already shipped out but apparently it wasn't. Robert said he would be sending you an email today with updated info on your order as well as pictures of everything that has been completed and arrived such as your turbo. Thanks.

Phone calls-answers right away, emails-maybe not right away but the guy makes good. Ordered some small parts, a slight delay but hell, Robert covered the shipping which amounted to nearly the cost of the order! Thanks Robert. Hope to do business with you again soon!

Well I "finally" got my shifter. I said before that the right product would be worth the wait, and the shifter is absolutely flawless! If you are gonna buy from Robert, for god's sake be patient, nothing will make him move quicker! He doesn't always follow through with a deadline from what I understand.
However, and I mean "HOWEVER", he is approachable and and diplomatic. I give him credit for taking the "TIME" to contribute to the forum, answer questions and constantly strive to offer new products. (I recall talking to Conroy in Edmonton once, he said i don't make money giving advice and basically cut me off. Robert spent 30 minutes on the phone with me on his dime). He is the number one contributor to the carb'd turbo rotaries out there. He will always deliver a quality product with marginal mark up. Another thing is he offers his services to our community at a reasonable cost, but you pay a price in waiting (as he will admit).
Sooooo, if you have a rocket up your @$$ and want it now, shop elsewhere, he really doesn't need the added stress, busy enough already. If you're willing to wait for a quality product, he won't let you down, and deserves our support.
