I've been saving for a very long time to get almost everything re-speed makes for my FB and of course as soon as I'm ready to dump a mountain of cash on parts this happens. Worst feeling in the world (obviously not as bad as paying and not getting your parts) but its just disappointing that a company that was held with such high respect has come to this.

Yeah, definitely don't spend anything, yet.
I just upgraded my Paypal dispute into a claim yesterday.
From what I've experienced ordering things that Sam doesn't make in house seems safer; I received both my brake hoses and bushings in a reasonable amount of time.

Although until everybody gets what they ordered I suggest nobody order anything at all.

That's probably good advice. I ordered the complete BBK for my FB on April 3, 2013, after verifying with Sam that turnaround would be two days. However, I 've still not received the order and have been unable to contact him via phone, email, facebook or whatever form. I filed a Paypal dispute today.

So, I received all the parts I ordered.
Aside from half the firewall brace not fitting (my fault), I'm a satisfied customer at this point.
So, the timeline of my "adventure":

2/28 : Ordered bushings, strut tower brace and OMP block off plate
3/13: Last communications
3/22: Received bushings
4/12: Paypal dispute filed
4/30: Paypal claim filed
5/1: Items shipped (post mark says so)
5/3: Remaining Items received.

So for all of you who are still waiting on parts. Hang in there, Sam isn't bankrupt or anything. You might get a surprise on your door step one of these days.

Cheers,
Kam

Oh, ofcourse. I totally agree.
Waiting 2 full months for parts that don't really require that much special machinery is quite ridiculous.
I guess I was expecting to get nothing back and have to have paypal claw some form of a refund back for me, lol.

He's a turd! Paid for the "expedited shipping" and still waited over a month for a set of Rx2 strut insert spacers.

I also have been having some issues. I ordered the sway bar bushings a month ago and have not yet recieved them. Yesterday before I found out about this thread I orded $900 worth of parts (coilover kits, camber plates) for my FB. I'm still debating if I should wait a bit or just file a claim on PayPal and get my money back... I was so stoked to finally buy some quality parts for my recently purchased 7..

Is anyone running those Techno Toy coilovers? Haven't heard too much about them, it definitely interests me.

I ordered the rack & pinion with cross member upgrade on February 12, 2013. On March 25 received the rack & pinion but no cross member. On April 25 I received a text message that he (Sam) would weld and ship the cross member on April 27. Since then I have sent more than a dozen emails, text messages and phone messages all with no response. I even told him I would send an additional $100 after I received it (which I would do). The credit card company is now holding the money for 45 days and I have filed a complaint with the Canadian Better Business Bureau. I have left him a message saying I would love to receive the cross member, drop the complaint, get him paid and leave some positive feedback, but he is unwilling to respond to any type of communication and obviously unwilling to send the part I ordered.

well technically its the same thing as what RE SPeed sold, or Ground Control which sells a lot for first gen, which is the same crap techno does. they use a stock tube, and weld a collar for the sleeve. hell the rear looks...clamped on? yea id pass on that.

You guys must be looking at something i'm not seeing. the ones i see the tubes are stamped "Techno Toy Tuning" and have lazer cut brace welded between the strut tube and the spindle.

I'll have to go check my FB, but last I knew my OEM struts didnt have that...

Gotcha. Well i dont have any welding equipment or experience so i'd be paying someone to do it either way. I'd prefer to pay a company thats been doing it for 10 years and has a solid reputation in the tuner community.

I'm also entertaining the idea of airbag springs - best of both - slammed for shows and tight for auto-x and track! like 1/3 the price of coils, too, and can use stock struts.

To be honest the rears look quite a bit like most out there for upgrading muscle cars and the fronts look like there is the diy or ready to go kit, honestly they are kinda the only ready to bolt in kit (and I don't have the tools to weld a kit together) I have come across other than what re-speed sells or going non-adjustable. Also last I checked GC had discontinued their FB parts, am I mistaken?

GC still makes front coilover sleeves and camber/caster kits. I received mine a month ago and they're on the car. I asked them about doing something for the rear and they said they would consider it during their product development period (Fall maybe?)
