I can't believe people are still buying from Re-Speed! I got hosed from him as well as many others and am shocked how he is still in business. There is no excuse or apology good enough for the lack of communication that incurred with the ones that got screwed. Of course now he is semi-communicating. Total BS! All I wanted was some coilovers, instead got srewed and stuck with 1 set of springs and nothing else, they are worthless to me! DON'T BUY FROM HIM!

Jason,

You received all your money back for your order via paypal, and I'm the one that is currently out from the springs and adjusting nuts for your order.

If you would like the rest of your order, I can have it shipped out before the end of the week if its repaid.

I've attached the proof from paypal showing your full refund for the:

224.99$ Front Street Coil-Over
99.99$ 7" Springs
289.99$ Rear Coil over
76.99$ Shipping
------------------------------
691.63$ Total

Actually I didn't recieve all of my money back, and it wasnt through paypal, it was through my credit card company. You sent me 2 - 250# 7" springs and 2 - gold adjusters, which is what I ended up paying for after the settlement. Those are useless to me whithout the rest of the parts! So I feel I got screwed! I ordered in Aug 30 2012 and tried numerous times to get a hold of you by leaving messages and you did not once try to communicate back. Mind you this was 6 months later! The lack of communication was completely foolish and irresponsible. All this could have been avoided with a little communication, I'm a patient person but after 5-6 months with nothing, why not tell your customers what issues are. Most people are pretty understanding but when you dont communicate it appears your taking the money and running! I do want the rest of my parts, but we need to communicate through the phone or email. Do you have my contact info and any records of what you sent me? If you do, then cantact me though email or phone. This forum is no place to do business.

Well, My Filler neck has arrived ahead of scheduled and i'm very happy with it

Overall my experience has not been bad imho, there was a period in the middle where the e-mails where slow to get a response from but frankly it wasn't the worse Customer service i've come across (i can only comment on my own personal experience) from placing the order to having it in my hand took 4 weeks?? but that's not that bad when you take into account the 2 weeks shipping and factor in this is a custom made part (plus they must be busy getting through the backlog of orders).

I don't condone whats happened with other people here but The Filler Neck i received was worth the wait imho.

Thanks Sam.

I guess I need to post here, since no contact from two emails, three voicemails, and a facebook PM. Ordered a -10AM filler neck, black, order number 3a800167 paid $205.14

Site order feature says delivered on the 10th of April. No part, not trackable (by me). Need update please.

Re-Speed.com

You've got until the end of the week to contact me with an update or tracking number, then a Paypal dispute will be filed. You have a PM as well.

ptrhahn,
Just a heads up, I'm pretty sure Re-speed's computer system has something wrong with it. My items were marked as shipped the day after I ordered them and delivered the day after that.

When I contacted Sam about this, he said it was a glitch and it would be shipped the following Tuesday . This was in early March. (Order placed Feb 28th, 2013)

Sam, if you see this, I have filed a paypal dispute and intend to escalate it to a claim if I do not hear from you by the end of the month. Hope everything is okay on your end.

Kam

Thanks previouslyplastic.

Everyone can rest assured I will not wait over a month before filing. Sam, nothing personal, but you need to get it together bud. I certainly heard back quickly when I wasn't able to log into the site in order to PLACE the order. I got an email over the weekend.

Today or tomorrow.

A buddy here ordered and paid for the FB rack kit in November, still waiting and no replies.

My suggestion, have some mob type visit, every order listed checked , not ready, something gets broken, then go to the next on the list, same thing.

After 10 broken coffee cups, a broken toilet spewing real bullshit,........well you get it

What gets me is I asked Sam directly if any of the horror stories here would impact my order.

He replied that it was his machinist that was the bottleneck and coilovers and bbks were his main troubled spots.

I just find it odd that he has basically disappeared totally. Voicemail boxes are full, he's not answering emails from me or paypal, he hasn't been on for forums...

Hope he isn't sick or dead, or else we'll never see the parts lol

Someone tagged him on Facebook, and said they were leaving with him to DGRR. Maybe some of the forum members present could have a talk with him while he's there.

I'm disputing the charge after today. Honestly, for $205, I can probably have it fabbed to my specifications locally. If this isn't an easy-order proposition, it's not worth it.

I'm sick to death of rotary vendors who don't have their **** together.

AB Waiting on FB rack kit since November

I also ordered a FB rack kit in November. There have been some replies. Sam sent me everything but the machined parts in January. They are useless without the other parts. Since then there has been no communication from him. Below is our email thread including Sam's contact information at the bottom. I have heard that somebody had success texting him, so I am trying that route now.

Sam,

I would like to know the status of the parts that I paid for in November, nearly 5 months ago, please. If I don't hear from you this week, the next communication will be through the RX7 Club forum page about ReSpeed, because that seems to produce responses from you.

Sincerely, David Gray

Sam,

It looks like things are going better for you. That's good. I have received these parts. Can you tell me the status for these remaining machined parts now, please?

Cheers, David Gray

Hi David,

Just wanted to let you know that the bushings and rack itself has been shipped to you. You should have them by next week. Still waiting on machined parts for the kit itself.

Sam

Sam,

Thanks for getting back to me and pointing me to the RX7 forum where you explain the issues. I read the forum and your responses. I am glad that you are not sick. I am sorry to hear about all the difficulties. It was a good idea to post on the RX7 forum and explain broadly what is going on. As for the parts, I can wait. I will be in London on Feb. 15. I could arrange for shipping the parts myself then, if that helps you and if the parts are finished. If it takes longer, at least now I understand why and that is the right way to run a business.

Cheers, David Gray

Hi David,

I have all your laser parts ready to go, just waiting my machined parts. I have an explanation of what's going on here:

Sam

Sam,

I am still waiting for a response. Are you processing my order?

well im a little pissed i didn't see this thread sooner.

i ordered an fd oil neck on march 28th.
He responded about 4-5 emails in one day because i was having troubles signing up to the website to pay.

Didn't try to get back to him until the 20th of april and had no success. Doesn't answer emails, call, or my paypal dispute.

Thankfully it wasn't to late to make a claim and hopefully i get my money back, but the main point is that if he got all those emails, he's still getting all the ones you guys are sending but just ignoring you.

Keep filing claims against him. Paypal told me that if this keeps happening they will suspend his account and not allow him to recieve paypal anymore. That should put a dent in his business.

Only shitty thing is is that nobody else makes a lot of the parts he has...

Yeah he's real good about responding when you can't access his site to PAY. I filed a Paypal dispute, which will be upgraded to a claim by Friday when (I'm sure) I don't hear anything. I'm having Chips Motorsports look at fabbing one for me.. If I do, I'm sure Chip can sell them after that.

He isnt responding to me at this point either. I actually took to dive-bombing one of his facebook posts to ask him why all of you were still waiting for parts. That was when he came back here and delivered a few.....now we're back to this mess again. Gonna see what I can dig up on my end for you guys, sorry I havent been able to do more.

Peter, the paypal claim was probably your best bet. At least before he responded to me...now, he's not at all to be trusted.

Banning him will not help anyone.....for one thing, he isnt particularly active on this forum. If he was active here and trying to sell parts here he would have already been booted out. When he doesnt come around much, there's really nothing to be gained by banning him. If anything, it leaves him open to come here and communicate.....which he has actually done some of. Not enough, but some. If I had just thrown him out, there would have been no updates and the several people who got their parts would still be wondering what was up.

OK, dispute escalated to Paypal claim. I waited a day longer than I said I would. Zero contact.

This guy is a deadbeat. No excuse.

Agreed

It's a damn shame that Billy sold his business.
