I sold my FD3s to a girl named Kiki who lives in Las Vegas, NV

I had Rob Golden fix my engine, warrenteed for 5 year or 60K miles

The engine needed to be fixed as it had a leaky cooling seal.

I sold it to Kiki under warrentee.

Kiki had the engine torn out, sent it into Rob Golden at Pineapple Racing in Portland, Oregon and never saw the engine again.

She calls me still hoping I can do something to help her.

Kiki tells me Rob Golden won't even send her the broken engine or any of the parts back.

Kiki not only got ripped off from her warrentee, but she got her engine stolen outright. She is looking at persuing legally, but is fairly sure legal expenses will cost her more than the engine is worth.

Great job, Rob Golden, way to rip off a nice girl.

Don't do business with Pineapple Racing. Rob does not stand by his warrentees, his engines or his parts/labor and will steal your engine if he gets it back.

WOOOOW thats awful. I don't think the warranty would cover an improper tune (not saying that groundzero and unnatural did anything wrong) but being complaining over the warranty I think is incorrect. Did Rob recommend any mods before you went to tune? If he told you something like you had to upgrade your fuel pump or something then that would not be his fault. If he said the car was ready for a tune then I would definitely be suspicious. Possibly unnatural as well. How come ground zero was able to know that something was wrong with the car and unnatural missed it?

Did this thead get cleaned up btw? I seem to remember seeing more posts here.

well, first of all, you should know better than to come in here posting only half of the story. You know better than this.....you know completely well that a thread about this exact transaction was posted in here not too long ago:

So, how's about I fill everyone in on the details you decided to leave out of this new thread?

1--you never paid for the work that Pineapple did for you. You admitted this. you claimed that the check was stopped without your knowledge by your wife, and since that time you have done NOTHING to make this right. You have even admitted on this forum that you never paid him.....

2--the warranty had expired on this particular motor. In fact, let's see a quote from the thread I just posted a link to--keep this in mind, this is from the boyfriend of the girl that bought your car:

3--there appears to be some issue as to if you even sold this car to anyone. Rob had asked for proof that it was sold to her and the only proof she sent him was title information for A DIFFERENT CAR. So, at this point, it appears that you tried to get around the fact that you owe Pineapple a ton of money while still getting a new rebuild "under warranty".

For the record, I think that Rob is 100% in the wrong for keeping all the externals, as they were not ever part of the work he did and he doesnt have the legal right to keep them. HOWEVER, as much as I cant stand that, what I hate to see even more is when someone like you comes in here, rips Pineapple off for thousands of dollars(and even admits it), and then tries to lie their way into sympathy here on the forum with a thread like this. If you had handled your business like a man six years ago, this whole deal might have been quite different. So as far as how I see it, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Oh, one more thing......you claim that you are in Seattle/San Fran.....while Kiki's boyfriend's post on that other thread supposedly came from Nevada. A funny thing happened when I ran the IP addresses for both you and him, they both came up as being from Las Vegas, and both were on the exact same *** system. Sounds like someone's got some explaining to do.

Let this be a lesson to you--dont even think of coming in here again and wasting our time with dishonest threads. handle your business like a man and things like this wont happen to you.
