mazdatrix

Ok I kinda have a small complaint about Mazdatrix. I ordered a couple intake gaskets from them. When I went to checkout they didnt give a price shipped. Its not till after you purchase it that they add shipping. I dont understand why they dont tell you shipping prior to submitting payment. Also when i recieved the items i ordered I looked over the invoice and i was charged .58 for p&l. I know its only .58 but its the principle. They should really reevaluate how they have theyre online payment setup. It is a good idea to give thecustomer the TOTAL prior to accepting payment.

I will say that the item was shipped fairly quick. and in good condition

I'd equate that to doing buisness with summit racing where you get a 10 dollar handling charge on every order.

For stuff like that, you're better off going to the dealer. Mazdatrix' prices have been higher then my local dealer on special order items as of late.

Mazdatrix has an old antiquated ordering system/website. I've never had any problems with them but of course I'm not a cheap *** either :p

Lol its not the fact of cost of the item. Its the fact they don't tell u prior to accepting payment what the total amout is then throw in other charges.

"The above is a total for the parts only - Shipping, handling, COD/CC, insurance, etc. will be added to the parts total."

That is on the shipping receipt of every order i have ever placed with them, look a litlle more carefully next time.

Most people would like to know the entire TOTAL amount before making the transaction final.

If i knew my parts were 30 dollars and i finalized it thinking it cant be more than 10$ shipping and the total comes out to 45.86$ .. I would be a bit bummed.

BUt for the ballers.. 5$ isnt anything.

For me. Thats my lunch for one day next week=P

I have bought allot from Mazdatrix last years, and cant complain about anything really.
But I agree it would be nice to know the total amount with shipping.

I live in Norway, and the shipping costs are usually very high from US.
But none of the shipping costs from Mazdatrix have been high.

Mazdatrix is a well known web shop for us Norwegians; we get most parts for half price or less compared to the Norwegian shops.

But again I do agree, It would be nice to know the total price, before you checkout.

Ok lets look at this from a business perspective. the CC charge is being passed on from the CC company, that is the surcharge that the CC company reduces the amount Mazdatrix would get just because you used a CC and oh btw if is a debt card but says mastercard/visa etc they are surcharged as well. as for the shipping cost I have seen the operation first hand the parts are pulled from the shelf the Robbie Lemon (co-owner with her husband) packages everything in the correct box envelope etc, then the item gets weighed and charged shipping, so the shipping is the exact charge it should be not some random aproximated figure that other places use (which is becomes pure profit for them) as for the minor packaging charge come on you have to find a way to pay for the tape, envolopes, stickers and boxes... not everything goes priority mail any more and if you haven't noticed the new free priority boxes are stamped priority mail on the inside as well, which means no more free boxes for regular mail)

If you really want to know what your totals are going to be don't place a web order call them and order it and ask them for the total with shipping before charging your card.

Mazdatrix is a good business. Their prices are a little high, but their reliability is unparalleled. As far as their shipping rates, they could go to an automated system, but then YOU, the customer, would most likely be over paying on the shipping charges. Mazdatrix will compare shipping rates between the carriers and give you the lowest rate.

So I say suck it up and support a good business. And if any body cares I am a first gen guy at heart, not a "baller" FD owner.

Uh, if you really want to look at this from a buisness aspect, it's a violation of *most* merchant agreements with visa/mastercard/paypal to willingly pass the surcharge on to your customers as an advertised additional fee. I'm sure if Robbie Lemon looked over his contract he'd realize he's in breach.

None the less, mazdatrix has always done right by me despite some of their prices being higher then the local dealer.

Lastly, I dunno what's with these "baller FD" comments, I'm as frugal as anybody when it comes to shopping around. It's a fact of life that you can "Ball" all you want, but a fool and his money are soon parted. If you're not looking for the best deal, you're a fool, plain and simple.

From a web design perspective, they would have to overhaul their ecommerce system to do that. I think its a wonderful thing to know the total price from a budget standpoint. If they pay to upgrade their technology, who does the fee get passed on to? ;-) somewhat of a catch in the business technology world.

Im not saying in anyway that Mazdatrix is a horrible company or even a bad company. It should be theyre responsibility to provide a total prior to charging my debit or credit card.

I really dont see where I live having anything to do with .58 Beverly Hills, Fl or Beverly Hills, Ca. Money is money and a charge is a charge.
like I said I wasnt bashing them, just saying it would be good business to provide a total prior to charging a debit/credit card.

From a web design perspective....99.9% of the rotary related website suck donkey *****.

Heck...a rather well known vendor on this forum appears to be using on their site an image on some of THEIR images that is the Intellectual Property of a rather famous game franchise...Fallout to be exact.

Ok I kinda have a small complaint about beer. I went to the store and got couple of six packs. When I went to checkout they didn't tell me the beer would get warm by the time I got home. It's not till after you get home and crack open the oat soda that you realize it's gotten warm. I don't understand why they don't tell you the beer will get warm prior to swiping my credit card at checkout. Also when I was watching SPEED Channel sipping the hoppy nectar of life, I looked over the receipt they charged me .58 for Beverage Container Recycling fee. I know it's only .58 but it's the principle. They should really reevaluate how they have their electronic cash register setup. It's a good idea to give thecustomer the middle finger if they're this friggin stingy prior to accepting payment. And tell them to go shop at Atkins.

I will say the beer was darn tootin' tasty. and really hit the spot.

i recently purchased a large quantity of items from mazdatrix, i have never been a customer before. i wish they would update their web ordering as well but if they have what you want you will do what it takes to get it. i had to call and change the billing address on my card becuase they would not ship to an alternate address besides the billing address on my card. yeah this takes a lil time and is some what of a pain, but i did it to get what i want. yeah they don't tell you what your shipping will be until after they charge your card but they go into full detail on the website as to why they do this.

i haven't received my items yet, but all in all i think the transaction went smoothly. i would still purchase from them again.

I'll bet if you were undercharged fiddy 8 cents you wouldn't be making a BFD about it...

Wait till Dave Lemon hears about this!

Shouldn't this be in the good guy/bad guy thread?

Ya know what you should tell Dave Lemon? Malloy Mazda has been slowly putting him out of buisness for years, he should update his site and get rid of the draconian pricing structure or get out of internet parts slinging all together.

Ray Crowe does it better, faster, harder, stronger, son.

Just my worthless .02
