Jkl
I was part of a group buy in 2008-2009 for a Mazda GTC replica front bumper. The process was long and drawn out but Kevin appeared to be designing a good product. Prototype pictures showed good fitment as did pictures from the first couple delivered. I didn't get around to attempting to bolt mine on until Dec. 2009. I say attempted because it would not bolt up on the driver's side (car never wrecked). It will cost as much as the bumper to have a body shop make it fit correctly. Tried to contact JKL repeatedly through e-mail and phone to no avail.
In the meantime, I start noting several other problems with Mr. JKL "Kevin". The thread below captures the problems. No response to unsatisifed customers and $1,000's collected for parts never delivered. How this loser still has a private section on the forum, I don't know - I guess he's not too busy to pay that bill.

Looks like this loser continues to do business thru his website and ebay. Buyer beware.

I was one of those that was in the GB that never got delivered. I hate to laugh at the people that gave me a bunch of crap when I complained he was taking too long to make the products. Now what are they saying..? I used a credit card via Paypal to put my deposit down for extra protection, because as was said in the other thread Paypal only gives you 45 days. When Paypal wouldn't do anything, I did a chargeback on my CC. JKL tried to argue they delivered a product, I told him to supply a tracking #, and that was that, I got my money back nearly a year later.

Roller,
I know you were gone for a few days and as I have not purchased from JKL you may question my further input in this thread.
1) I hate Scammers
2) As an ethical businessman I hate Scammers
JKL is still selling, a local owner just purchased one of his CF Mazdaspeed GTC front bumpers which are $$$. He had absolutely no problem in getting in touch with JKL and getting his product. Funny that the guy will take money and speak with those looking to buy still but for the forum members he hosed...crickets.

funny you should mention me...I actually inquired about JKL to the powers that be a few days ago. One thing that seems to be the case is that I could not find any new customers.....everyone that got shafted placed their orders a long time ago. Rest assured, he isnt going unnoticed. I am going to put a few things together in the next couple days, what I would like is a complete listing of everyone that can prove that they sent JKL money and is still waiting for their part. I need a list of everyone's screen names on this forum, what was ordered, how much money you sent him, how you sent that payment, and when the payment was made. Normally I would recommend that individuals contact law enforcement and file a complaint, or seek legal action, but in this case, I am going to try to prepare something special for our friend Kevin....more to follow. If anyone here knows someone that should be on this list, please contact them and ask them to get included. Thanks in advance

he's been still selling on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT
i honestly can't believe with all the $ he took nobody in the community has paid him a visit yet, i mean there seriously has got to be a FEW rx7club members up in norcal. He is not broke and has not dissapeared because he's been selling on ebay this whole time. Too bad things turned out this way it seemed like they were producing good products at the beginning.

1994 Mazda RX-7 Red Touring with Original Paint
I am 3rd owner (non-smoker if u care) of this vehicle for the past 4 years and have kept it in good mechanical condition. No accident on my end but unfortunately had a hit-n-run recently in the rear at a parking lot hence the dent on the rear bumper. No other accidents!
I take my car out for a drive every weekend as I could to make sure she is in good mechanical condition but I find myself not having the time to love her as much as the past couple years so it is time to let her go to another owner who has the time to do so.
Valid registration and insurance. Clean title with pink slip on hand.
Here is a list of things that have been done to the car and most of them are reliability mods to ensure a good performance and long life of the car:
- motor swap with stock port motor: currently ~35k miles
- transmission seal replaced during motor swap; running redline performance oil
- ACT stock type clutch
- oil changes every 2k miles with new filter replacement
- chassis has ~140k miles
- stock twin turbo with simplified sequential boost system
- M2 small SMIC with FRP duct
- custom cold air intake system
- Koyo radiator with annual coolant flush
- Radiator fans replacement ~10k miles
- brake calipers rebuilt ~10k miles along with ATE super blue dot4 racing fluid flush
- Hawk HP+ brake pads
- Tein Flex Coilovers
- Denso Supra fuel pump ~20K miles
- NGK racing spark plug cables
- Apex'i PFC ECU with commander
- Apex'i AVC-r digital boost controller
- HKS twin power ignition amp
- HKS hi-power exhaust
- Mazdatrix short shifter
- RX8 6-speed shifter ****
- 99 Spec Taillight
- Genuine RE-Amemiya steering wheel

Guys, I have not forgotten about this, but we need to get the word out. There have been plenty of people that complained about this guy, and yet only three so far that have listed what they lost?? If any of you know others that have lost money, get them to add to the list. We need a full list of the people who got hosed. And then, we can take the next step. The last time I did one like this, the person ended up in jail and is still there.
Anyone who lost money to this guy needs to be on this list. In one thread alone there were 8 pages of people complaining about losing money to this guy.....lets get the word out and get EVERYONE on this. The more I have, the easier it will be to make my case when we get to that point.
