ALN JDM sells junk engines
Beware of ALN JDM Auto Motors. We purchased an engine for a customer that did not have a core for rebuild, what we received was a complete junk engine. Not only did it have blown apex seals it also had coolant seal retaining wall failure. We might be able to salvage the intermediate and one rotor, but that will not be determined until after cleaning.
We contacted ALN JDM and their response was that the engines are "sold as-is". After providing pictures of the damage we received a $200 refund to our Paypal account. That barely covered the shipping cost.
These JDM engine importers have gone from 30 day warranty -> no warranty -> ship complete garbage at running engine prices.
It is OK to sell something without a warranty, but a business should at least be providing a usable, compression tested product.
If you are considering buying any used junkyard JDM engine, be aware that what you may receive could be worse than your existing engine. If you see "sold as-is" that is a red flag meaning "we know these are junk".
We took one for the team and have identified another JDM engine importer selling junk.

No offense but you should know better to not even bother with a no warranty jdm rotary engine. I learned that when i was 15. Cant trust any company selling these, i dont even trust japan2la for a engine. I'd only buy a engine that i can inspect in person for now on. Thanks for another heads up though.

There are no importers offering warranties on rotaries and of course we know better, but when a customer asks you to source them a core you have to take chances. We buy 30-40 JDM engines each year (13-rew, 13b-re & 20B) with mixed results, this was the worst. When you are buying as many as we are you do not have the luxury of personally inspecting them, I am not going to hop on a plane to go look at an engine every time we need one.
What I do expect is that the "company" take the time to inspect the engines before selling them.

i recently tore down 2 13B blocks, they had been sitting for last 6-8 yrs,i figured they would look something like your pics,i was hoping to salvage just a few parts off them...they actually look a hell of a lot better than that scrap you have, its amazing to me that they would treat another business just like they would an individual knowing full well that your word of mouth and customer base would all get wind of this and it could potentionally reach much more people...yeah,i guess they really dont care

You are aware that the entire country was not under water, right? There is nothing about the above posted pictures that have anything to do with Tsunami flood damage.
We get rebuildable cores in every month, no signs of seaweed or salt water in any of them. The only problem we have is that our normally good sources only get so many so occasionally we have to try someone new, that is when we get the garbage posted above.

Hopefully making the issue public might make them at least give you guys a refund. That engine is trash.

They decided to wipe out all negative user comments on their Facebook, instead of explaining themselves. Shitty buisness practices, doing the same thing respeed is doing on their forum. I reposted the issue on aln jdms Facebook. Can't kill the real napster.

3 Rotor Engine Parts
You could see how much Xtreme Rotaries wants for one of their billet center plates> I doubt its cheap though. No matter what way you look at it, with no compression test, warranty, or vehicle history - you are taking a big gamble.
