Where is your controller mounted? i need a little advice

i have the VC2 unit from coolingmist, and i am in the process of installing it now.. i am just not sure if i want to put the controller up front where i can change what i need there, or on the trunk tank.... where does everyone else mount it?

if i decide to put it up front i will have to figure out where and how to put the wires through out the car.

if its in the back, i still need to connect the controllers power source to the ignition so i would have to route that as well.

The cmgs gauge version makes mounting simple since its a 52 MM gauge, the VC2 since its a traditional panel mount type controller would need a different location. Have you considered along the ECU panel on the passenger side? You would be able to see it if need be and change it without much trouble. It also keeps it out of the way and allows easy access to the boost line through the firewall which is just above that location.

did not think of that, i already went through the boot for the steering wheel for the boost hose for my gauge and controller years ago.

i wanted to swap it for the gauge one but couldnt because i used it , turned it all on just to see it and they cant take it back like that. but when i have time im going to look at the passenger side thing

also for people doing 50/50 mix if you have the trunk tank that is a 1.5 gallon tank, i noticed that the last inch of liquid seems like it wont be able to be sucked out. i mean how does it or is there a way to mod it?

I've wondered this as well. I've contemplated adding an extension of sorts to the pickup of the pump, but not sure what to use. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Sorry, no pictures, cause I haven't mounted it yet. I'm still contemplating if/how I'm going to put an "extension" on the pump pickup into the tank. I was thinking a brass fitting of some sort, but I've been busy fixing my wife's car and not working on mine.

As for the trunk mounting itself, I didn't plan on drilling thru the floor, I was hoping to make up an adaptor plate out of plywood or the like that would bolt to the trunk floor and then have the tank strap mounts drilled thru that wood mount. I'd still be drilling thru the carpet, but it's the lesser of 2 evils there IMO.
