So, if you buy a system for stock levels and are only looking for added safety...

...can you tell when driving it the system is actually doing anything for you? Or would you only be able to tell if you purchased a inlet charge temperature guage?

I have a mildly modded car. Mostly bolt-ons with a PFC. Water-only at the throttle-body which is boost activated. I noticed effects right away when I didn't see coolant temperature spiking after periods of hard boost.
