Aquamist 1s worth installing?
Hello. I am completely new to AI. I bought a used aquamist 1s kit used last year, and I'm just now ready to install it.
I'm almost afraid to ask, but is the 1s kit too out of date to bother with? Would I be better to sale it and get something else?
I'm shooting for 500hp with a 500r
Thanks

I don't think the race pump will be enough flow for you. You could sell it and pick up an older HFS system for not much more. the race pump is 3-400cc/min, and with a booster pump 5-600cc/min if I remember correctly. I think 300-350hp is the limit from reading about them.

I would look into getting an rx7 summer along with an HFS kit. I have an HFS1 with an rx7 summer adapted to run on it and I love it. Every tuner I've had loved my kit and tuned easily with it and as an end user, the flow control gauge pod is great way to monitor clogged nozzles (which I have hopefully fixed with another in line filter). I think getting the 1s is better than nothing but IMO, why bother unless it's SUPER cheap. I highly recommend Howerton engineering. Check out the site...right now. Last I checked, even the HFS3 is old now. There should be a newer model.

Having been down a similar road before myself, I say run it. While the state of the art may change, the laws of physics don't; it will still work fine. Newer products aren't necessarily better--just different; and perhaps, in some cases, somewhat more convenient. No need for a summer (unless you're using it to meter alcohol as a fuel).

I agree with another poster that it isn't necessary. I'm into the secondary injectors by the time I'm making boost and need aux injection, so I just go linearly off of the secondary pulsewidth. Works fine.
