Nozzle Placement
I have an 1988 Turbo II with Haltech Temp sensor mounted in the Greddy VSPL FMIC elbow on the throttle body. Can I mount the FJO nozzle before the Air intake temp sensor or do have to do mount it afterwards.
I called FJO and it is suggested to do before if you have the closed element temp sensor.
If I can mount it before the Haltech temp sensor then it would be so easy to do so but want to make sure it is right.
Any ideas?

you can mount it either way... i mounted my nozzles in the silicone coupler in front of my FD elbow. i mounted my new setup 1.25 inches from the front of the elbow in the elbow. (pics in my FJO thread) my air temp sensor is before both locations in the pipe between the IC and the silicone coupler. i relocated my air temp sensor upstream to avoid manifold heatsoak.
of course each location will function differently. my PFC doesn't know that the air going into the motor when mixed w alcohol is below freezing. i just tune for the proper AFR, EGT and KNOCK.
if you have your sensor downstream from the alcohol it will read into your computer and depending on your settings may richen the mixture.
you can do it either way but i suggest that you need to locate your nozzles/solenoids/injectors so the AI has time to "flash" atomize. while i don't know for sure, i suspect that closer to the combustion chamber with alcohol is not better.

As far as I know and been told open sensor will eventually fail. Also talking with FJO and Jackson Motorsports which uses their kits and a deal, they say that the FJO nozzle produces such a fine mist that it is almost atomatically atomizes. (Spelling?)
I will try mounting it into the intercooler tubing just before the elbow about 7 inchs away from the throttle plate and temp sensor. hopefully being close to the elbow does not harm the injection.

just because its an open element sensor doesn't automatically mean it will fail.
They are probably use to MAF sensors which have a temp sensor built in. Some of the ford ones don't work too good with AI.
