Bad tuning or something then. lots of people are making reliable 500 plus hp with the help of straight water. Myself included. I plan to raise mine to 25 psi and expect no knock. I tune for 11 flat afr at 20 psi an fairly conservative timing.

Thats funny because the only time I have ever blown an engine was when I went to straight meth over a water/meth mixture. There was something wrong in the ignition system and the water was preventing it from blowing. Next run on the dyno when straight meth and KABOOM.

Are you still having this issue? Aquamist puts an accumulator on their setup so the system doesn't pulsate. Its gonna happen when you use a 5 GPH pump through a tiny orifice...
