Help me find my ideal aux. system
So I am a complete newb. to aux. injection systems. What I do know is I want one. I am going to be running a large street port w/ BNR Stage 3 Seq. Dual walboro fuel pumps. 850/1600 Injectors with FJO driver, Greddy 3 row v-mount set up. I plan on putting the car on the track so I know I need something like a 3d system... What I dont know is what size nozzle I should be running and placement of that nozzle. My Hp goal is around 400-440 any info you guys can give me would be great.

I was checking out the FJO system... What about the AEM system? I wish FJO would just put a kit together I hate trying to read through everything to make sure I got all the right pieces lol.. Also do you know which part I need to get to run the wideband as well..

Chris,
Check out our products at www.coolingmist.com. If you are interested in the FJO system you may want to check out our Smart Injection Systems as they inject using a multi input table as well.
Also, we are the only US based water/methanol injection company that has a High Speed Valve option.
If you see something you like and have questions, please let me know!

Hi Chris,
AFAIK, there are currently 3 systems on the market that are fuel injector type of delivery.
Aquamist, Coolingmist and FJO.
each if properly sized and installed will be magic.
sizing depends on what injectant (water, water-alcohol-alcohol) you choose and the objective with regard to usage.
do you wish to just make sure your engine is knockfree?
do you want more hp and are you willing to (possibly) risk your engine to get it?
AI has come a long way in recent years. 99% of the units in service are old school stuff.
doing your homework here will pay very large dividends. AI is not like just bolting on a different fuelpump. it is not highly complex but it does envolve making a number of correct decisions.
there is alot of info on this site if you make the effort.
you have already made the most important decision, correctly, and that is to run AI.
good luck,
howard

IM going to be running alcohol/water mix... And I am trying to push the BNR's into the 420 range seq. I have wanted to go Aux injection for a while just wanted to make sure I get the right one the first time... I really like the FJO system its just so hard to navigate and pick piece by piece what I need... I am going to run the FJO wideband as well... If you could let me know the pieces I need to pick up that would be great...

i chose FJO. i have been a beta tester in a process that started last november.
one of the reasons i picked FJO is they had the new architecture (fuel injector/solenoid rather than pumpspeed-nozzle) running in their first Gen system.
the second Gen is a significant upgrade as it contains a 4 bar MAP sensor --boost control and is designed to interface w their excellent wideband.
this offers failsafe/control options.
you can cut the boost if you lose pump pressure, or if the wideband shows out of pre-programmed range.
after waiting for spring (wisconsin) and working thru some items i now have it running properly and expect to dyno test it next tuesday.
FJO has made a decision to market it as a complete kit, BTW, so you won't have to order bits and pieces if you wish. 'good decision.
i am not a salesman for FJO. i did pick the FJO unit as it came closest to satisfying my specific needs.
given your turbo system, AI would provide you w a necessary answer to the significant uptick in heat generated at the 400+ hp range.
good luck,
