EGT TypeK Probe -> 5V Adaptor Output
EGT TypeK Probe -> 5V Adaptor Output
Howard's nnew post re: the new FJO AI Unit got me thinking about this. He'd mentioned logging EGT's while doing AI experimentation and he is correct. O2 Simulator sells an adaptor that converts the output signal of a Type K Thermocouple probe (EGT probe) to a 5V output used for any standalone input for datalogging purposes. Here's the link to their item:

does that give a rising 0-5 V or just a 5 V output at a specific temp?
We have been selling our version for quite a while, we even have a controller that works off of boost and EGT at the same time.
I am curious about the stats on that unit, because its very cheap.

man if this works it would be great! I'm logging egt's through only the rear runner of my manifold because my zeitronix only alows for one. This would alow me to log both front and rear rotor temps.

nice, is there a chart showing voltage vs temp?
going to pick up two of these so i can optionally log 3 egt channels on my LMA-3 ( only logging post turbo now)

at the bottom. A two channel card is available for $60
This board was designed for car enthusiasts who wish to monitor the temperature of their exhaust gas in order to fine tune their engine’s performance. The design is based on the Analog Devices AD595 (type K) Thermocouple Amplifier and has additional circuitry to enable its use in automotive applications.
Maximum output is 5V DC at 1000 degrees C (1832 F). This board is intended to be used with a DAC device to handle temperature conversion. Requires 12 to 24VDC power. Thermocouple is not included. Two, 3 and 4-channel versions of this board are available. Add $25.00 per additional channel.

as you may know the Datalogit has 4 auxiliaries... you can monitor them on your laptop as you drive. (my laptop is my passenger). the Commander has no provision for additional (auxiliary) inputs. anyone seriously interested in their tune running a Power FC really has to have a Datalogit. currently.
