AIC to control alchohol delivery

My question below may have already been addressed but I'm to lazy to search:

I have an HKS AIC (additional injector controller) with a 4 injector harness in the closet and it has occured to me to use it as an AI controller. I would supply fuel to 2 of the injectors (to get my crank HP in the low2mid 400) and the other two injectors would supply the methanol.

Comments welcomed.

The biggest issue I think you will have is you will need to use alcohol/methanol rated injectors. Methanol especially is corrosive and can quickly destroy the injectors themselves, so something to look out for.

I have used a variety of AIC's and even the extra inj outputs for AI of various sorts, including meth injection, and its always the injectors themselves than become the issue. Obviously things change every day so what might have been an issue 5 years ago, doesnt even exist today

My intent is for the methanol to support ~20% of the my desired ~400 BHP.

What I needed to find out is if an alcohol comparable fuel injector and pressure regulator were available. Since E85 vehicles are available, I figured that shouldn't be a problem.

Other parts needed are the pump, pressure switch (to activate the pump @ ~ 10 psi boost), reservoir (~ 1.5 gal), and misc hardware. The reservoir to sit where the battery is. The battery would be relocated in the compartment behind the passenger seat of my FC.

www.fiveomotorsport.com offers Bosch fuel injector PN 1500001400 (1400 cc/min, low impedance) $75 each. Only one should do the jod. Edelbrock offers an adjustable regulator (even though a non-adjustable would be fine).

What I will also do is install this FCD http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/articles/fcd/diy_fcd.htm and clamp the voltage @ my ~ 12 psi boost . A/F stays in the sweet spot throughout the RPM with my current 4x720 cc.min injectors. Clamping the voltage will simplify setting methanol delivery by basing on boost only.

From what I've read, 20% methanol mix the A/F ratio needs to be ~10.3 @ full load. Methanol will start flowing @ ~ 11 psi w/the pulse width gain set such that the A/F drops linearly towards ~10.3 A/F @ ~17 psi boost & 7500 RPM (where the ~400 HP is most likely being made). I will be also depend on the exhaust temperature while making the adjustment.

The part list should amount to ~ $400 (excluding the AIC). Just a bit less than the Universal Alkycontrol Kit that's offered on EBay as of 12/2010.
