AI on stock turbos and motor

before you guys flame me i searched. anyways...

im not sure if im gonna run it but, my buddy just gave me the aquamist 2d kit for free.! yay!!! the car is not ready for AI yet, (i.e. i still need an upgraded i/c) but when it is ready is AI bad idea for the stock turbos or does it really matter.

i want to run 15 psi. i have full exhaust and a pfc plus a ebc so the car will be tuned for it obviously so tell me what i need to know.

should i just save the kit till i go single?

if i can use it, any idea on power w/ what i mentioned? TIA

We have a guy here in the UK who run a 12@115mph on stock twins and stock motor with a PFC and AI with street tyres, with that terminal he was pushing just over 400 at the wheels, he was using a 50:50 methonal water mix

I'm with blitzboy on this atleast with respect to the spirit of his response -- I think what he's trying to say is that AI can only help and it can't hurt and I couldn't agree more. At minimal, it will add engine durability. At best, it will yield extra power and reliability. I say use it.

running the stock turbos at 15 psi will promote cavitation and superheat your charge air. (in addition it will trash the turbos real fast).

you will actually need AI more w the stock turbos at 15 than the single.

i suggest you set the boost at 14 and install your AI. win win.

well thats good news to hear. i have no issues with 14psi over 15 and i appreciate the advice. i am planning on going single but thats no reason to ruin the stock turbos prematurely. thanks for all the replys
