^Here is the original thread I referenced previously. You can go to the posted responses around 8/30 and after to see the discussion of over-spraying due to the AEM chart recommendations. Fortunately, the OP was utilizing a W/M mixture, which likely helped him to avoid severe flooding of his engine had he been spraying water only.

For your boost & power goals of 500-600 HP, I'm thinking up to a 10 gph nozzle size is what should effectively get you there. And since your controller is "progressive", that's the nozzle capacity I'd use as my starting point for 500+ HP.

Note: Rodney at ProMeth appears to have the best atomizing & ease of use nozzles to experiment with by way of changing out the internal components to achieve multiple desired flow rates from the same nozzle. I'd give them a look as a practical way to test different capacity sizes wout having to break the bank in the process.

In any case, I'll be curious to see how your own tests & tuning turn out since we're both using the same 8374 EFR platform & similar boost goals, all the while experimenting w multi-stage W/M injection strategies. What's good for you should be good for us all so I'll definitely be cheering for your success.

I’ll be sure to update the thread once I can do more testing in the spring. I’ll definitely consider that I have too much nozzle and start with spraying less with the controller to see what effect it has.

this data is from a recent 575 dyno and shows AI in action. note the lower panel.

at 7733, 32 psi, 9.44 AFR, only 1.6 advance and 575 SAE Dynojet power the air coming out of my turbo is 348 F. IAT was 118

assuming i had a very efficient (67%) intercooler and no AI the temp into the motor would have been 167. in the real world both V mounts and my SLIC are not large enough to deliver 67% so the IAT without AI would be higher, closer to 200.

please note as the turbo outflow temps rise with boost the yellow IATs rise... until the AI delivery (green line) appears and it flattens the temp advance.

my injectant was 50/50 W/M. i run the new Aquatec pump. pressure was 164 psi. i am running one ProMeth .0362 3 slot nozzle delivering approx 800 cc per minute gross and 700 net of boost.

bottom line, a combo mix of water meth reduced my IATs from close to 200 out of the IC to 118.

all temps measured using a thermocouples.

That's really interesting data, Howard. Thanks for sharing. What are you using for thermocouples and how are you mounting them in the intake piping?

What are the pros of the aquatec pump vs others?
