Question 50/50 mix preturbo

I'm trying to find out what 50/50 water/meth mix would be good for preturbo injection. Is it safe to do 50/50 based off weight, or is it only safe to do it based off volume?

water weighs 8.34 pounds per gallon
methanol weighs 6.63 pounds/g

if you mixed them 50/50 base on weight you would have 63% methanol and 37% water.

you would also have a flammable mix

50/50 based on volume is generally not flammable

as to performance, i don't have an answer for you but i do know that 50/50 based on volume works and is easier to mix.

good luck on friday.

Dont do it by weight. Do it by volume.

Thanks for the help, I mixed it by volume. Dyno runs were a success...450whp at 18psi, the pump started losing pressure at any higher psi in the upper rpm. Knock was in the 20 range under full load and boost, full boost around 4200rpm. I plan on going back to get higher boost once I get a better pump/pumps and try to get to the 500+whp club on 93 and ai

I should mention that it was the fuel pump that was losing steam, I have preturbo water/meth injection kit from wannaspeed...it wasn't running out of umph
