i need a point in the right direction!
Hi there. I'm in mandurah wa and have just scored myself a 1983 RX7. It's been sitting for about 4 yrs without a bonnet or air cleaner on it so the carby is full of gunk. I want to replace the carby with a 4 barrel holley but am unsure which size I will need. I also need a few other parts and I was hoping I could substitute some of them with a cheaper alternative. I need a bonnet, a clutch fluid reservior, an alternator, a radiator and maybe some other little things like a wiper motor etc. If there are any of these parts or others that I can get from a more common car I would really like to know. If not I would really appreciate new and used prices on them and where I can get them from if I can.
Thanks heaps everyone. I would really really appreciate ur help on any of these issues.

hello mel from mandurah,, welcome ( from rockingham )
im not sure i can fit all you want into one post so i will be brief
- try local sites for parts,, such as ausrotary.com ( where you will find me ) and also
http://perthrotor.com/ ( where you won't as its a rather limited and closed click )
else you might find all you need within the local rockingham group of rotor heads
( of whom many avoid perthrotor.com due to some rather "not" funny politics )
as is i can prolly help you with minor things from maybe an alt and wiper motor and such
-- just have to look for them as much of its buried in my collection and hasnt seen light for a dozen or so years
BTW,, i have been home building and tuning rotors since way back
as for 4 years with no bonnet,, good luck,, do you want some internal pics of what 4 years exposed to the weather looks like?
( i have an rx4 engine here that was pulled down at that period and there is not much good in there )
i think your going to need more than a carb and radiator !
as for the holley,, please dont go there !
i have experience with holley 465 on racing beat manifolds on both rx4 engine and RESI 6 port engine in rx4 and rx7
my experience is not to go there again and instead go with locally avail carb like reworked nikki or weber

The motor turns freely. (very freely) Weve made sure there's no serious problems with the engine itself. As for those parts u might have, how much would u charge me for each part u can help me with?
